I've been using Outlook Express for several years, but only after updating to the newest versions of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express have I run a problem. To the point:
When I click on e-mail link while browsing, Outlook Express launches but fails to start a new mail message. I'm having to cut and paste addresses into the "to:" space. I've looked everywhere I can think of to change this, both in OE and IE.

Sorry. Been there, done that, bought the shirt. The options indicate that Outlook Express is both the default e-mail and default newgroup handler. Any other ideas?
Mind you this is happening on both my work computer and my computer at home. Darn upgrades!

Boysmommy,
1) If you haven't deleted the previous version of AOL (5.x), try connecting with it (AOL leaves the old version on the computer in case the new version has problems) and then sending your Excel spreadsheet. This will confirm that it is AOL 6.0 that's causing the crash. If it doesn't crash, the 6.0 is probably at fault--then you can have the dubious fun of uninstalling it and reloading it.
2) The second approach, which may not apply at all, is to hard-boot your computer. Both my Word and Excel programs will start acting bizarre, that is keys don't work, items won't print, unless I've done the ol' on-off switch in a couple of weeks. I usually leave my work computer on at all times, and this shows up from time-to-time.
