I've watched "White Christmas", "It's a Wonderful Life", "The Santa Clause" and "National Lapoon's Christmas Vacation".

Danny Kaye & Bing, James Stewart, Tim Allen, and Chevy Chase. I'm nothing if not varied.

Time to bake the cutouts!

So, how many here can quote more than one line from the Lampoon movie? (no, not THAT line!)

"Aunt Stephanie, does your cat like Jello?"

"Holy s$*t, where's the Tylenol?"

"Dad, did you bring a saw?"

"If you want to come in Todd, you're going to have to break down the goddamn door!"

"We're going to have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Big Crosby danced with Danny f*%&#(^f Kaye!" (this line Meya??)

"Clark, Audrey's frozen from the waist down."

Ok, is that enough? My husband claims to have Griswold in his family tree and he's proud of it! And his loving wife, that would be me, gave him Clark's Taz mug for his birthday last month. I'd been looking for it for years! I'll give you 3 guesses where I finally found it...and the first 2 don't count!

I love this movie. Tried to get time to watch it today so I could add a quote... the great thing about having a bad memory is that I can watch it every year and it's always like the first time.

I can't remember the lines... just remember LMAO!

Not paranoid anywhere else but here!

For us its "A Christmas Story" with Darren McGavin: a Red Ryder BB Gun, Triple Dog Dares, a Major Award leg lamp and a Chinese Christmas duck.
I think TNT did a 24 Hr non-stop of this movie one year.

...and one day I'll be blind from the Lifebouy soap...that'll teach 'em. They'll be sorry then.

I think of my dad as half Darren McGavin and half Bob Hope.

But I'm the only one in this house that loves that movie to death.

Every time I see the word "FRAGILE" on a package, I think of "frah-jee-leh"...my favorite part of that movie is when Ralphie says The Word and his parents freak.

"I've met loan sharks with more compassion than you..."

"Lady, your husband isn't dead, he's hiding!"

From my favorite Christmas-with-a-dysfunctional-family movie, "The Ref".

Who could forget Ralphie's bunny suit???

And the pack of wild dogs attacking the turkey?

And the moment when the dad finally gets the lights strung, and all the fuses blow?

And even SANTA telling Ralphie that he'll put his eye out? What could be more disillusioning???

Truly the best Christmas movie ever.

I think TNT is doing another 24 hour marathon of "A Christmas Story" this Sunday!

My favourite part is the ending in the Chinese Food restauraunt and they bring the Peking Duck in with the head and feet.

The boy who played the yellowed eyed bully is on the new sitcom 'TITUS'

which is a truly hilarious show.

I can't imagine the holidays with A Christmas Story. My favorite line - when Ralphie's little brother packed in layers of clothing falls in the snow "he laid there like a slug..it was his only defense."

Every year when we plug in the tree, I have to do the Ellen Griswold drum roll: drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

"The jelly of the month club. It's the gift that keeps giving all year long".
