Hi, Zip it is only 7.55 pm and far too early for me to go to bed. I will be around for a while yet.

Well, hello. In & out all night (PST) while "working". Seems slower than it used to nights. Could write some more for Diana's AD thread, but I'd prefer to play.

Oh, you're one of those people who actually lists items. Really should recover the camera stuff so I can get going there. False starts and stalls so far.

I only list sometimes and I really have to feel up to it, I prefer to buy. Anything Gold will do.

I prefer to play more than list.
Want to dance??

I'd like to learn to dance. Took a fitness course from a jazz dance instructor once. The other guys dropped out. I had lots of fun, but never pursued it. Way too self conscious.

Sounds like my husband, he is very self conscious about dancing.

We took dance lessons before we got married 22years ago and he was very good, better than me, but he doesn't like the thought of people watching him. Anyway we learnt to waltz for our wedding and on the big day at the reception we discovered that we had learnt the modern waltz and everyone else was dancing in a different direction to us. What a hoot.

We were still at the step counting, foot looking stage and it was not very easy to dance with everyone else going in the opposite direction. We can laugh about still to this day.

Took beginning ballroom and loved it. Moderately athletic with a good sense of time, I found it difficult to coordinate the two. Not as expressive as jazz, but fun.

Yes, still up. I "work" 10 P.M. to 6 A.M., PST. Usually hit the sack about 0700, but it varies. Sometimes I sleep in the afternoons. Go back to a day schedule almost every weekend, which means all-nighters Mondays.

Let me tell you - I am NOT a morning person.
This will be me:

I see! Well, seems like there's always someone around to keep you all company. Actually, I'm not always up this early. My husband works 12 hour days, so when he's on day shift, we have to get up at 4 am. I'm from the dying breed of women who still gets up with their mates to cook breakfast and make lunches. I hate doing it, but he married me when I was 17 and trained me that way! Someday, when he retires and I'm still working, he WILL get up and get me off to work!!!!

I get up when my husband leaves for work, I don't cook breakfast, but I do get his lunch and flask of tea for him. He is more than capable of getting food for himself in the morning. I work just as hard as he does (well not the physical labour part), and I still have to do the house work, cook, clean and wash as well as run a business. So he can get his own food of a morning. Sound hard don't I? He is used to me we have been together since I was 16 and I am 40ish now.

What do you mean you are old, I saw your pic and I don't think that I am old, so you surely can't think that you are.

I feel old when I look at my oldest son and realize he's now older than I was when I got married. I was a "grandma" (albeit step- grandma) at 29. Guess I've felt old for a few years now!

Both my boys tower over me and I have to admit that all three of my kids' makes me feel old at times.

I don't have any grandkids, maybe one day, I am in no great hurry for my children to have children. I have plenty of babies around me in the form of nieces and nephews and in just a couple of months I will be an aunty again. These are my surrogate grandchildren. I love these little ones so much they make my heart ache with love.

Do you get the idea that I like babies and children in general.

Hi Zippy, I see you have expressed you opinion in the MC, I am sorry but I don't agree with you.

The Mods do have a job to do and AW members have to respect that, they also have to follow the rules. Some choose not to.

I think the mods do a very good job. The users here have a free board to co-habitate within and they have to all get on to a certain extent. How often do we get anything free in life, and most time when we do get something for free we tend not to appreciate what we have. I feel this is the case with some AW members, they seem to complain about every moderation that is made and they forget that the moderators are only human and sometimes they too make mistakes. I actually feel sorry for them, the users that complain, because it must be a sad life that they have if all they can do is complain.

This is just my opinion. As I said I think that the moderators do a good job.

Sure, they do fine most of the time. What I dislike is the air of superiority (ironic, too), their apparent feelings of being above criticism. Rather than join a rational discussion, a typical reply is comprised of a selction from the CGs, often ingermane, and a warning to discontinue impertinence.

Lately, I have noted a tendency toward threats, well known as an ineffective means of behavior modification. Ignorance is common, even acceptable. What I find frustrating is to deal with persons unable to see obvious truths once shown. No biggie. I blow off some steam, the thread gets locked. They have learned that ignoring me is far less trouble than attemting a defense.

Something about delapidated Jenga towers of specious argument comes to mind...

Hi Zip, I was not really jumping at you in particular, I know you were just letting steam off. But I have been reading these boards for a long time, a lot longer than I have been posting and I have to be honest I didn't post because some of the members came on so strong and seemed to be critical of what most other members said.

You know you said that a typical reply is comprised from a selection of the CGs, maybe they have to answer like that, this could be how they have been told to answer.

Just a thought. I am a peace loving person and I like to see good in everyone including the moderators.

After all we are all only human.

Gotcha, Netta. Bad connection here, too.

I see a great deal of good in both the moderators, personally and professionally, and their work. I merely reserve the right to call "foul" when I perceive outrageous conduct. Not a popular position with the PTB, particularly as it is so readily defensible.

They have asked I email Diana with any concerns, while I have declined and repeatedly explained why. We go on. Like I said, they seem to ignore me a lot, which may even be admirable. I can be rather inflammatory.
