For the second time in a month I've had a bidder tell me after winning a auction that they had changed their minds and had to back out. Other than filing NPDs can anything else be done to stop this?.........
I had a bidder write and say that someone "hacked" his account, and "stole" his password and bid on all kinds of stuff, and that he did not want the item.
He was an AHOLE, er, I mean AOL ZERO feedback user that registered 1 day before, and there was only one bid placed from his user ID...MINE!

If you are on eBay, you can send an email asking that they not bid on any of their future auctions..CC to Safeharbor, and if they DO bid again, make sure to contact safeharbor before you retract their bid!

I hate when bidders do that, but it is actually better than stringing you along & then deadbeating on you. At least you have the chance to relist or offer it to the underbidder if there was one.
I've had 2 bidders do that to me. I was glad that they were upfront enough to say that they made a mistake in not reading the description thoroughly before they bid. Honesty goes a long way in these situations (with me anyway).

My bidder wasn't up front about it. She waited almost 3 weeks and after numerous emails she finally responded.
