Well, I do find some personal irony in this. I registered on the predecessor site there in June 1999 and made my one and only post a couple of days later. It was to confront a poster who had spammed both there and here on AW, pretending to be a satisfied customer of a fantastic new credit card service called WeCharge. A lot of sellers got sucked in (the warning signs were there!) and subsequently lost money.
...I've been very hostile towards spammers ever since.
