I'm hoping someone can give me a good resource site for Limoges china patterns. My sister in law inherited a set with plates and little bowls (ramikins?) signed on the bottom. I don't have a picture of them, but I do know the design. It's white china background with pink flowers in a spray type arrangement. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Morning Pook47 - Here's one site I use often for identification.

http://www.networkpatternmatching.com

Here's the link for the limoge patterns on that site:

http://www.networkpatternmatching.com/cgi-local/search/newSearch.asp?M=limo

Hope you find what you're looking for. I have one other that I use also, but couldn't find the URL. Maybe after my first cup of coffee I'll see better.

Thanks, Linda K. I tried the site but since I don't have the pattern name, it really didn't work. I did check out different pattern names, but with so many out of stock and no pictures, I got nowhere.

Okay, found it.

http://www.replacements.com/default.htm (home page)

Searching under Limoges on that url there are three catagories. 1) Limoge American Dinnerware. 2) Limoge French China and 3) Limoge Florale China

The url to the American Dinnerware is: http://www.replacements.com/manufacture/patterns/limoges_american

THEN.. if you still can't find it you can use this URL to fill out a form and they will identify it for you via email. http://www.replacements.com/identify.htm

Good luck.

Hi Pook,

If the china is Haviland, the site below shows a few of the most common patterns and has lots of links and suggestions:

Thank you all. I will have to take a picture of the china then submit it to the site. I appreciate the help.

Morning Linda. Just thought I'ld throw another out there, just in case. You know I would have thought that good specific, detailed information about antiques and collectibles would have developed much further than it has with online resources.

Unless the subject is very limited in scope, mostly you just find little bits and pieces of information scattered about.
