I'm hoping someone can give me some insight as to why Netscape crashes and gives me the file name of MFC42.DLL as a reference. I've looked on my system for this file and it's all over in various folders, nothing of which makes much sense except the windows/system folder. The version in that folder is different than other versions on my computer. Are they all supposed to be the same?
I'm using Netscape 4.76 and Windows ME if that gives any clues to anyone!

You version of the MFC42.DLL is probably an older version that isn't playing well with Netscape and ME. Look here:
Download the version for ME and see if that helps. You'll have to rename the .dll file that is in the Windows/System folder to .old and put the new file in it's place. If that doesn't fix it, you can always rename the original file back to the correct name.
