I recently used Corel as my default picture viewer program. Due to some problems, I had to delete it, and could't find the CD to install it again. I now use IrfanView, but can't seem to find the way to make it my default picture viewer.
Does anyone knows how to do it?
My platform is Win95.

I know how to do it, thanks for asking!
Oh, you want me to tell you?
Open windows explorer;
Click View-->Folder options;
Click 'File Types' tab;
Associate the file types (i.e., jpg, gif etc) with your viewer
That should do it. I'm not familiar with your viewing program, but if you haven't already, check in it's options (or setup) to see if you can make it the default viewer. This will be much quicker, if you can do it.

Hi! preacher4u.
I didn't like InfranView. I went with the ACDSee browser http://www.acdsystems.com/english/products/acdsee/acdsee-node.htm because it was both the fastest and the easiest I could find. When you click a pic, it will flash that pic onto your screen in a flash -- and it's industry rated as the best, fastest image browser.
When you go to install it, ACDSee asks you what file formats that you want to associate it with. I think that InfranView should also do the same thing. You can always explore the Options settings inside of InfranView as you would with ACDSee and there should be a place to set your file-type preferences. If you aren't sure, look under the Help menu under Associate/associations, File.
