Question: What would you say to your victims the day before you face sentencing of 5 to 25 years in prison for shooting two people?

Answer: Not "I didn't cause your pain but you can place your pain on my shoulders".

Hasn't this guy ever heard of crocodile tears??

‘SHYNE' SAYS HE IS SORRY, SORTA

April 17, 2001 -- Rapper Jamal "Shyne" Barrow, the gunman convicted in the Sean "Puffy" Combs trial, apologized to his victims yesterday, but denied responsibility for their "pain."
"I didn't cause your pain," Barrow, 21, told his victims in a prepared statement read by a supporter, Conrad Muhammad, a self-proclaimed "hip-hop minister" once considered an heir to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

"But you can place your pain on my shoulders," Barrow told them.

Told of the statement, victim Natania Reuben, who has seven bullet fragments from Barrow's gun in her head, responded curtly, "That is not an apology."

The statement was read to reporters outside Manhattan Supreme Court, where Barrow's scheduled sentencing on felony assault charges was adjourned until June 1.

His lawyers told Justice Charles Solomon they needed more time to review trial transcripts.

Barrow faces five to 25 years in prison after a jury convicted him of showing depraved indifference to human life by opening fire in the Midtown Club New York in December 1999.

Barrow's gunfire injured two of three wounded clubgoers, jurors found last month.

It all stems back to gun laws, which are PATHETIC, IMHO.

What was he doing at a nightclub with a handgun to begin with? Who's everyone trying to protect themselves from?

If people would start admitting responsibilty for things, then THEY would have a better life, as well as the victim(s).

What a joke!

James - It's great to see you back.

The jury convicted him of showing depraved indifference to human life. That pretty much sums up why he can't understand/feel his victims pain nor take responsibility for his actions. These type of people scare me the most. So very, very sad.
