You would think that the west and the US would be promoting space tourism and the Russian government would be controling and obstructing individual access to space.
Just the opposite is happening. A US man who is no stranger to the aerospace industry has paid $20 million and has a seat on the next Russian ship to Alpha. The US has done everything in it's power to prevent his going up.
They have denied him training and then said he is not trained enough.
They have said they may have to not test the arm going up although it is outside and there are no plans for him to be outside at all, or involved with it. He might be "distracting".
They have complained he does not know the crew after they refused him entry to meet and train with them and indeed the Russians went home and missed the same training when they would not admit all 3 of them.
Well who's fault is it he was not admitted?
The ones complaining.
Hypocrisy is well and alive at NASA.
Be aware if you have ever entertained any dream of being able to buy a ticket upstairs in your life time your government is working full bore to screw you. Space is for government approved individuals only and any
ride for school teachers or Senators is strictly propaganda. Don't get your hopes up.

Oh well. I gave up the astronaut fantasy when I was 8.

I always figured if I had enough money I could buy a ride in my lifetime but it does not look like it.
