Am I the only one out there that can not get past the site selection page on auction watch? It keeps going to the auction control panel instead of the description page. I contacted aw and they said the problem is fixed, but it is so not. I did all they asked, cleaned out my mail box ect... still can't list! Help!!! Outage is a dirty word.

Jandyaz, there isn't, or shouldn't be, any reason for you to apologize.

On the contrary, it's SmittyAW who owes you an apology. You've come here with a problem, and not only is he unsympathetic and unhelpful, he slaps you upside the head to boot.

Being the better person I obviously am, I'm sympathetic, and apologetic, in that I'm sorry I can't help you.

That should do it. The thread will be locked for disruptive combative unproductivity.

No, I'm sure you're wrong, Krs. If that were a criterion, it would have been locked right after Smitty's post.

A simple message center search for pissed shows that the word pissed has been used dozens of times in numerous threads, in the Round Table, the eBay Outlook .. all of AW's forums -- without receiving any moderation, not a warning, not even a "nudge." Not so much as an <ahem>!

I have used pissed several times. Others who have uttered pissed include krs, toke, antiquary, nearthesea, mrpotatohead, zazzie ... the pissed list goes on.

Why in this instance is pissed considered offensive?

[ubb has got me pissed!]

Maybe he wasn't talking about pissed, or piss'd.

Maybe he found 'outage' offensive?

To get back to the original question--is anyone else having the problem mentioned?

jandyaz: you might try asking the question in the AW forum rather than the round table.

Thanks for your support. You guys are great. I really Do like aw and have brought many new customers to them. I now know I am not the only one having this listing problem, I don't think aw understands. I am not a mean person, but after trying for days to get my auctions up, I don't think being told that the problem is fixed when it is not is a proper responce from aw. This is making me crazy, even my dog is mad at me. The weekend is gone now, so I might as well just chill and wait.......

If "outage" is the offensive term, then there's no help for jandyaz. He/she copped to it being a dirty word

Jandyaz: What the moderator should have done was to ask you to repost your question in the Auciton Services area where someone else from AW would probably been along to help you:

spazmodeus,

I've reviewed previous posts and have been unable to find where I've used the word pissed as you've said that I have done. Could you point me to where you found that usage before I get really pissed?

krs,

http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=28&id=75816&thread=75816

It was contained in something you quoted from the Daily Brew. So okay, let's split hairs. You didn't utter it, but you did use it in your post.

OK, OK. But I was pissed?

In fact, James very slyly beat you to it with the link above, as in that thread I did post:

krs posted on February 23, 2001 08:18:29 AM I'm not pissed. You are. Get it out.

Maybe the word is "fixed"
In Mississippi, when a dog is neutered, he
is referred to as "fixed."
