Hi, NearTheSea,
I think that I was misunderstood about the
smilies...You probably know the kind that I
mean.
For example, someone delivers an insult and
then adds a little smilie.
Today, for example, I had 3 or 4 insults by
one poster with these smilies...unprovoked and not responded to... Then, admittedly
without reading the posts, the moderator
admonished me based not on what had
happened on that thread but on my tendency
to go off topic...generally.
That is a real problem that I have...going
off topic and getting distracted. I really
don't mean to be disruptive.

Helen, I did not add the smiley because of what you said about smileys. If I don't put one there how would anyone know I had a smile on my face when I said that? They might think I had a frowny face on and I gotta tell you I almost always have a smile on my face when I post. In RL I laugh and smile most of the time, I am no different here. A smiley lets you know that.

Has anyone seen Bush's latest comments on ________. The republican's don't have a clue on dealing with ________ and they will make all American's suffer because of it. I can't believe that Bush and his lackeys want to try to legislate ________ . When will Americans rise up in arms over these attacks on our __________.
now I feel like I've really made an important contribution, even though I wasn't required to do so.
