Yes, I am an inventory warehouser, but I hope to make a full recovery! I am in distress that some of my inventory, relists over and over ~ ad nauseum, ad nauseum!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it…..

Help myself and many others, find the perfect widget! You heard correctly! I am in search of the perfect widget. An item ~ so unique, in demand, low cost ~ highly profitable, will receive multiple bids, that will sell the first time listed with NO relists! I know this widget is out there! I just haven’t found it, yet!

I invite anyone with information, maybe you are an inventor and you do not know how to market your widget….I can help! I have hundreds of positive feedback on several sites! We will get rich together!

Good Luck! May we all be lucky enough to sell the first time thru and not have to relist!

Fixed some coding...

I like to sell I guess I am just a old time mule trader. I like to buy something cheap and sell it at a profit so I guess I have a warehouse but thats OK I am makeing money (Not getting rich like some) but makeing money all the same. Bidville has been a very good place for me to sell at low prices so I will stay with it. Some people list there and if people dont jump on their items and give them 30 bids takeing it from $5.00 to $50.00 then they say the site is no good I cant sell their. For them I say to bad, but me and alot of others are doing just fine. So let them talk negative all they want, they are not talking for me I speak for myself. Go pay to list and relist and relist ect raise your price or cut your profit's. I will stay with the free sites and sell. Have a nice buying/selling day.

Telwil,
I hope you have a "Have a nice buying/selling day", also!

I am selling items at BidVille, not every day but I am very pleased with this site, and am wishing for bigger and better sales!

I really do wish I could find that perfect widget, though! It just seems like I can touch it with the tips of my fingers! LOL

I am doing very well at bidville and am getting my moneys worth with my $15.00 a month contribution as a priemier and primier plus memberships (giving me $200.00 worth of "extras" credits).
I am very happy with sales. They have been steadily growing since I started listing in Jan. There have been MANY improvments and I couldn't be happier. I tell everyone I can find (wether I know them or not) that has anything to do with the catogory I sell and buy in about the site in hopes that they will come take a look. Most of the time they do. You not only need buyers for the catogorys you sell at but other sellers so that whatever the buyer is looking for they will be able to find (and hopefully a lot of other things they didn't know they NEEDED. LOL)

ScrappinMemories,

With 849 items, of which ten items elicited fourteen bids totalling $12, I hope you get more, alot more, closing with bids.

Listing these same items at eBay and Yahoo would cost $255 and $170, respectively. Yikes.

My expectations would be somewhat higher, something like a personal sell-through rate of 20%.

I have not flooded Bidville with "inventory warehousing" listings, and right now, my sell-through rate is essentially zero.

I guess you didn't notice that most of my items have 1st bid wins take it prices meaning you wouldn't "see" that they had bids. I do this so that I can combine shipping without having to wait. I did have some exceptions for the sale where I listed for longer. I guess you would have to look at my closed items to get a better picture. Most of my buyers buy several things when they bid on my items.

You forgot to include in that figure the 7 that closed earlier today with a take it price.
Oh, and I'm not trying to be argumintive with you. I am just trying to state the facts as I see them for me personally... as I am sure you are doing the same.
I enjoy listing and selling at Bidville and will continue to do so until I find a site that I like better. I have tried a lot of the other free sites and none of them compared to bidville, but I don't go around bashing them either. I DO plan to try gegy out (already signed up) but I don't plan on leaving Bidville for a very long time. If it is all it promises I will be selling at both.
Bidville has surpased my expectations. I knew they were new when I moved my auctions there and didn't expect 20-30% sale rate immediately...

There'd be no way to see what you've already sold, so it looks like your personal sell-through rate is

17 / 849 = 0.02 x 100 = 2.0%.

Bidville has surpased my expectations. I knew they were new when I moved my auctions there and didn't expect 20-30% sale rate immediately...

Well, my expectations are a bit higher.

I cancelled just 19 of 60 auctions at Bidville and moved them to eBay on the free listing day.

With five days still to run, I have bids on three items, so the minimum sell-through rate will be

3 / 19 = 0.157 x 100 = 15.7%

There's obviously more buyers at eBay, but Bidville is not buyer-friendly because there's little in the way of new listings, just old listings, relistings, over and over again.

Why do you go on and on?

Well, my expectations are a bit higher.

Go elsewhere and grab your 50% sell thru rating.

Back to my topic.....Please
