Sellers on ePier have trouble following rules. From the home page logo, you can view 46 current "crazy" items for sale, most of which are active. (After a 23 second load time for the home page.)
The rules state:
"Sale runs for two weeks from July 17 to July 31. Auctions can be listed on or after July 17th and end on or before July 31st."
I am now awaiting dimview to bash ePier sellers with the same malice she used to bash Bidville sellers. But once again, that would be comparing apples to apples.
Statistically speaking, 14 sellers out of the 102 signed up for the event have items listed. That's 14% Dimview.

For the comprehension-challenged, this is one of the glitches I mentioned in the CRAZY DAYZ thread:

I'm also looking forward to the CRAZY DAYZ sale. Pre-listed one auction and found a few glitches on the CRAZY DAYZ listings page, however, so we'll have to wait for corrections before pre-listing in earnest.

Interesting. The "glitch" is not in ePier's listing process. It is in the sellers' inability to follow directions provided by the event's coordinator. Listing are to be posted starting July 17th. Comprehend that?

I just checked the rules again and did not find that "prelisting" was allowed. As always, dumbview makes her own rules.

As a seller I resent that, it is a glitch, and just because we are using the PRE-lister
doesn't mean we are too dumb to follow directions!!!

Gottaknow88,
Thanks for the update, I guess no auction site is perfect, maybe Dim can find another form of entertainment! Hey, it could happen!

I guess the 46 active auctions listed from the home page are exempt from the prelisting rules. Either that or ePier is too technically challenged to actually start the auctions on July 17th.
Seems to me that dimview is one of the 14 sellers listed on that page. We're narrowing it down.....

In an attempt to avoid the ongoing Bidville $1-Sale debacle, ePier are using a "pre-lister", which will hold Crazy Dayz listed auctions in a storage "queue", until July 17th at 12:01 am, when they will become available for search & bids. Unfortunately ePier jumped the gun somewhat by releasing this form before ensuring that it was indeed working as it was supposed to.
Consequently, many sellers while following the rules, listed some auctions with the understanding that they would be held until July 17th. But the auctions are running now.
The pre-list form is now working properly, so I'm told, and sellers with "Crazy Dayz" in their title are ending their auctions & resubmitting them through the fixed pre-list.I wouldn't call them "technically challenged", in fact this is an impressive bit of programming, one that Bidville sure could've used, but like any new program bugs are bound to surface.

Gottaknow88, this was a glitch caused by ePier, not by the sellers who listed the auctions.
ePier put up a pre-list form to store auctions until the sale starts. Unfortunately they didn't test it out very well before the launched it.
You can in no way blame the sellers for this and most of them have ended auctions that were listed erroneously and the rest will be following suit very shortly I imagine.

check out epiers chat before joining site the ownership of the site, arbitrarily cancels auctions with bids, comes up with fees that are for nothing and does not have the same view of their auction as their sellers
