Got my first newsletter from sellyouritem.com and they will be hosting their first club99 event.
For those of you who don't know about club99, a bunch of sellers banded together to post auctions once a month with a 99 cent starting price and no reserve to encourage bidding on what was then the slowest bidding day on ebay, Saturdays.
It was always exciting to watch the bids. I hope sellyouritem's event goes as well as previous ebay events.
This one is even a theme event: Christmas in July.
Should be fun to watch
If anyone wants to check it out, do a seller search on club99SYI and click on the mypage to read the details.

All these sales are great for the slow summer months. Seems as though our $1-Sale at BidVille was a success, as we are doing it again very soon.
I hope everyone has a great time with lots of traffic, bids and counterbids! I didn't buy a thing at our sale (I was busy). I'm going shopping and exploring during these events!

I used to do the Club99 sales on eBay and they were a hoot! I was thrilled when the same folks who hosted those decided to give it a try at SYI. For quite a while the sellers there have been having 'at cost' listings--where you list your item with the opening bid at what you paid. I've found some really neat items there.
These sites need to do as much as they possibly can to help themselves.
And Dimview, I don't want to be impolite or rude or any thing, but you know, we're all human and we all make mistakes (and some people have stronger wills than others and simply won't conform). Sometimes things just don't work quite as we had intended. I prefer instead of analyzing every teeny flaw and finding fault with that to look at the overall picture in order to determine success or not.
I know I'm going to write this wrong because I've forgotten the exact wording but:
"Give me the courage to change the things I can;
the (can't remember the word that goes here) to accept the things I cannot change;
and the wisdom to know the difference."
There're just times in life when we have to say, "Oh well--I gave it my best shot and that's all I can do."

I apologize for posting a link! That's what I get for reading the terms of the site too fast! It is going to be a fun event for sure. If enthusiasm of users is any indication of success of an event, this one should be dynamite!
