Looks like a nice turn out with 35 participants and over 800 items listed for the event.
It's being run a little differently than at ebay. Only 5 items must be listed at a starting bid of .99 and then 5 more with starting bids ending in .99
Almost 400 with the .99 starting bid and some really nice items at that starting price.
Will be interesting to see how it all pans out in the end.

Hi toollady, wallypog and all...
I thought I'd put some up, just to see what happens... two already have 9 hits each in just over 10 hours and two others have bids. Total listings which come up in Search are now over 1,000.
Nice participation by the folks over there.
Thanks to the folks who organized it.

"In The End" is a correct term here! Reason being is that 95%+ of the bidding is between current Members to Members and that's not too promising in that New Buyers are needed for the Sellers. More power to the Sellers as they are in this to sell, but we've been down this road before.
Most of the buying before this was current Member to Member, so no changes, just a new little frenzy which will burn itself out fast.
New, never before Buyers are needed here making up at least 50% of the sales to make this Site grow.
Right now alot of the items up by the Sellers were up before this and not being bid on by the same buyers who could have bid before the event.
So let's not get to excited yet. I need to see a rush of New Buyer/Members Buying to get excited here. I don't need this event to sell, as I do great without it and I've invited 500 people here before this. But if it brings new Buyers/Members then that's great!
But until they get "ALL" "Quality" items on the Home Page in the Featured Section (Which is suppose to be a Sites "Showcase", alot are going to come and look at alot of the featured items and laugh, then leave. The reason at almost any Site that charges a Cash Dollar fee for Featured Items is that it Showcases their Site on it's Home Page with a solid list of quality items. Doesn't make good business sense to pay $20 to list a $1 item, so you don't see $1 items no one wants to look at on a Charging Sites Home Page. Degrades the Site and makes it look like a nickel & dime store. It almost insults ones intelligence to have to look at it! Give listing Bonuses for something else and make it to where credits used for Featured Auctions have to be items listed for more than & value more than $20.00.
