I am in the process of building my website. Does anyone have any feedback on Merchant Account at reasonable prices?

Hi there there are a couple of options out there. I have mine through www.ec-store.net and there is another place called www.ccnow.com that doesn't charge a monthly fee just a 9% commission on sold items. Hope that helps you.

You might try propay. It's a good starter, you don't need to actually set up a merchant account to use it, no monthly or set up fees, just pay when and if you use it.

Hi I recently put an article about Propay on my website with what I consider the pros and cons of using their service.

Thanks for the great information about propay.
Besides being a great starter for a small business it's a great way to have auction buyers pay for their merchandise. You can send them a pay request link just like you do with paypal but, the buyer doesn't have to join or open up an account to pay you, because of this they will never be as big as paypal, I hope that those who also use and like their service will spread the word so they can stay profitable. One draw back, you can't process international sales.

"I hope that those who also use and like their service will spread the word so they can stay profitable. "
Exactly why I put up that article. PayPal grew by getting people to do their dirty work (SPAM) for them. Remember the ten dollar referrals! Well, this is 2001 and in order for a internet business to survive, they have to provide a good service at a reasonable cost. The basics of a sound business plan. Now that we've sobered up a bit, supporting sane businesses is really the best move consumers can make.
