I have both Outlook Express and Netscape 4.7. I much prefer Netscape. I had a program downloaded to stop banners called "AdSubtract"...It was great until this morning. I was unable to connect to any of my bookmarks this morning on Netscape because it would keep surfing and say "connecting to AdSubtract...waiting on reply"....then it would say the server is down. I went in and un installed all AD Subtract files and STILL am unable to use Netscape as it says the same thing. I have rebooted and run scan disc to no avail. I miss my Netscape. Any suggestions? When I try and install ADSubtract again, I get the same message and it times out...WAHHHHHHH!!!NOT a happy Puss!!!

My husband found out that if you use adsubtract and you use Norton Antivirus software there will be a conflict. Adsubtract will prevent Norton from being able to get the latest virus definitions. This is for the automatic updates and also for doing the update manually. I'd rather deal with popups than be left vulnerable to the latest computer virus. My husband feels the same way and got rid of adsubtract in order to have the latest virus protection updates.
