What about a price drop auction? Ok Example. I want to sell a Griffey RC (bv. $100 or so) SO I start the auction at $100 and set the option to lower the amount each day by a certain amount (probably $1) When someone sees it at a price they are willing to pay, they buy it. The drop amount could be higher or lower and left to the sellers choice within reason (IE no 1 cent drops)
Opinions?

There is one problem with this , not that its a bad Idea but the fact that your not dealing with the same buys looking at the your auction in the same hour let alone the same each day.
one buyer many come in surf through see your acution on say sunday and not come back to it at all or may not get back to it for 6 to 10 days later they are not hanging around that one site or auction everyday.
This is something that may well work on one of the live auction site poping up out there but for these auctions to be live you have to be on line at the auction through the whole process like run 5 or ten live auction on a day that run this way let the buyers decide the starting bid and then after a period of time give fair warning.

hI COOL idea, there is or was an auction site that did this,think they called it a reverse auction...believe there was some kind of instant message system with it..
well, start one & we will all try it!LOL
seriously this is what we need,a new novel idea in a site..would be great to peak interest by bidders this Christmas..find any good ones let us know..
we tried the free sites..& they were a huge waste of time..seems we are all jumping from site to site..wish we could all find one & support it..(only if they supported us right?)
can't believe the hits & sales i am getting at ehammer..shows you cannot go by the size of site,but by % of sales...it's workin' i am suprised..

Hey, just went to google search found a bunch,,plus a place with free reverse auction software..(not sure if this is actually reverse price or a wanted thing) anyway you do it & we will sign up! LOL gotta start somewhere..cool to have your own auction site..
