Funny that you didn't run to AW and accuse them of forcing pornography on you.

There is only one site where I have ever seen a porn pop-up, and it wasn't AW.

Thanks Pat ... you can lock this one now

You are joking, right?

If thats the case, then you can't POSSIBLY be connected to the internet...

A perusal of FastClick mentions that they offer "Third-party serving that enables clients to implement, manage, and report their online advertising campaigns at very competitive rates."

On the surface its seems entirely possible that a client could sign-up for a campaign, have their pop-under advertisements approved by FastClick, proceed to insert differing pop-unders and then have their campaign pulled under the customer service agreement.

I use my on line connection primarily for emails and newsgroups. There's only 3 or 4 sites that I regularily visit, and only two where I have seen the pop-ups. They may exist at other sites as well, but I haven't seen them (yet).

Is it possible for a pop-up ad to store itself on a HD before shutting down the PC, then pop up again automatically when the PC is powered back up? I ask this because the very first thing I did this morning after logging on was visit the BV forums where I was greeted with the porn ad. No one else uses my PC and I did not go to email or any of my newsgroups prior to going to BV.

If that is possible, then maybe that explains it, and maybe we're all in trouble

RB: You are VERY lucky then! Those damn porn ads are EVERYWHERE. It is no wonder that "porn" is the number one industry on the net. Sad...but true!
