I tried to reply to the other thread but was locked before I completed. I suppose this may get deleted for violating TOS.

RB,

I will make this last comment and leave AW. Both your theory AND dimview's theory are possible (heaven help us).

The problem with Dimview's is that Bidville can check the status and current links of each advertiser assigned to the site. In other words, we can see all the pop-ups very easily. There are no porn pop-ups coming from FastClick.

Your theory is the likely one which I tried to explain as a "delayed Pop-up". Can it be delayed from yesterday?...certainly. DHTML, XML and Javascript technology is evolving rapidly. Also, keep in mind that whatever your home page is set at, you visited that site today also.

Thanks Ed ... guess what my home site is (was!)

As I mentioned, I do very little internet surfing. My primary on-line use is for my tape trading hobby which involves reading and responding to newsgroup articles and email.

My web activities include chatting with friends at your site (now no longer possible), here at AW, and a couple of movie sites. I have only seen pop-ups of any type at AW and Bidville, and the Asian "girls" at yours only. I am not a prude and I have no problem with on line porn (I don't use it myself!). It is very easy to simply close these annoying pop-ups. What bothered me was seeing them on your site.

I would appreciate it you would post the same message above to your forum ... just so all those folks who are getting free shots at me now that I cannot respond are aware that perhaps I might be right about this.

Thanks and good luck

Rob
