I'm just trying out Bidville for the first time, and wondered if there is some sort of bulk lister out there for bidville?

When I post on Ebay, I usually just use the back button...but for Bidville, it loses the boilerplate information I include with each auction. So, a bulk lister (ie. "Include this standard boilerplate" is what I thik would be good...

Thanks.

BidVille does have a bulk lister, such as it is. You can download it from the TrackPal page.

There is a character limit for the description of 2,000 characters. If you write a quick description and nothing else you should be okay--it hardly leaves room for TOS.

You can also add a note to each one of your auctions under Track Pal. From what I understand this automatically adds the message to any auctions the seller has running (have never used it so am not real sure).

Wallypog,

You are correct that you can add add a note to each of your auctions with one of the TrackPal selections. You can use this add something like your own TOS or payment terms, really anything that add to each auction.

Wally,
Thanks for the pointer; don't know how I missed it the first time through, but it's exactly what I was hoping for. Now, let's hope some of my items get bids!

Good luck with getting bids there. Sell-thru rate is 13 out of every 1,000 items while eBay's is 550+ out of every 1,000 items. Sometimes you get what you pay for ....

bidsbids - Do you have any alternate sites? I have no problem paying final fees for items which sell, but don't want to pay fees for items which don't sell.

Thanks.

slr102, I do believe your sell-thru rate will depend on what type of item you're sellling. On some of the items I sell I have a 50% sell-thru rate on BidVille. On other items it's down around 20%. I do believe there are an awful lot of auctions that just sit on BV week after week without anyone hardly even so much as giving them a look. Ever once in a while some of the old listings sell, but it seems to me that the auctions put up by sellers who actually manage their auctions there get sold the best.

Well some sellers may have a 50% sell-thru rate but the average is 13 out of 1,000 so some sellers must sell 6 out of every 1,000 or even 1 out of every thousand to offset these rare, wildly successful sellers. 'Those that do not manage their auctions' is a major cop out as you could have a great item on these free sites and they will never get a look and move it to eBay and it gets looks & hits. Of course, you will find this all out for yourself when and if you move to BV.

And it works great. One of the few sites that actually HAS a decent bulk lister. At least they don't have to use AuctionTamer.
