Very disappointing customer service. These folks take days to read emails. This is a problem if needing to update information in your record. They wind up not reading their email in time to change the shipping address and then won't pick up the charge for the extra cost of shipping it to the correct location. Their mistake, but they want the customer to pay for it. No Thanks!!
Even after explaining the problem, they wouldn't be flexible. Will not be using them again.

Sounds like this is your fault... not Ubid's. I believe UBid makes it very clear before you bid that any change in address after the bid will cost you extra. Can't blame UBid here.
I've been very happy with UBid's customer service. My one incident with them went flawlessly.

I was expecting my first purchase from Ubid to arrive this week-when I went to check the tracking number, seems the package was in my town and is now on its way back to Ubid--without any FedEx truck ever coming to my house. I was home all week--got other deliveries from UPS--so I know the house hasn't fallen into a black hole.
I did NOT try to change my shipping address--used the same one I signed up with--but looks like I am having the same problem.
I've emailed them--but now I don't hold out much hope for a happy resolution.

I've had a problem with Ubid's customer service on the Consumer Exchange side...Can't hardly get them to respond to numerous emails over a three-week period. When they finally did they were vague and noncomittal. However, when dealing with them on other subjects that are not Consumer Exchange related I've been quite happy.
