Did anyone else receive a email from Gruvo? Are you going to take advantage of it. What do you think? I'll be waiting to hear.

It came with the heading "Interest in your Item" so it has to come through one of my auctions. It had a persons name for the email address. Wouldn't you think that someone was interested in one of your auctions. Isn't that the only way someone can get your email address? It's deleted..

In the past I've received e-mails with similar subject lines that didn't come from anyone really interested in one of my auctions--pure spam.
Most of the time what happens is someone has a spider program that will crawl through the website's database and harvest e-mail addresses. Those addresses are then compiled for either their personal use or to sell to other spammers.
There's a very simple solution for stopping programs like that--it's called Spider Poison, but unfortunately too many websites either aren't aware of such a script or don't want to take the time to de-bug (no pun intended) and install it so the harvesting and spam continues.
I change my e-mail address that I use on various auction sites about every 6 months. It's the only way I can keep ahead of the spam.

You must be kidding. Bidville better than Gruvo? Not by a long shot. There is nothing worse than Bidville. Gruvo has a much better game plan which includes a TV show to show case auction items. What does Bidville have? Worthless sports cards. Nothing for the serious collector of even rare sports cards. Plus a community of rude rejects.

That is a very misleading stat about bidville however. It is so flooded with worthless 5 cent sports cards that bidders looking for real items get frustrated and leave as they spill into most non-sports card catagories and all name searches. Gruvo is by no means the answer, but against bidville it's 10 times the site.
