Good morning everone! I am getting a little restless and thought I would look around for different auction sites. What is Ubid? It appears to be only listing big companies overstocked merchandise. Am I wrong? Anyone have any experience with this site? any info would be helpful

I had tried them a few months ago, didn;t receive to many bids. I sell computer components, and I would of thought that they would of done well there too. I mostly sell my stuff on Lycos, Auctionweiser, and sometimes tbay.

Since my auction management software is now supporting UBID, I thought I'd give them a whirl. However, after registering at their site, I got an e-mail asking me to send them:
"Business License or Resellers Certificate for your company
A copy of your bank statement for the business (dated within 30 days)
A copy of your latest phone bill for business address (dated within 30 days)"
Now, I don't find anything unusual about a vendor asking for a reseller number, but UBID is NOT a vendor. Also, I feel very uncomfortable sending off someone a copy of my bank statement! What's up with this???
They also write "I need this information within 48 business hours or your application will automatically be denied, and there will be a six month waiting period before you can reapply."
gave me ONLY a fax number, no phone number to call a live person, and will NOT respond to my e-mail asking them for more information.
Has anyone else gone through this process? Is UBID a legitimate place to do business?
