Right at the top of the page with the Bargain & Haggle huge ad on the left side. At least they're trying and spending some money on an ad campaign.

Hey I seen it too:

sellers from the nameless site and asking them if they've considered
expanding. Most likely I'd get told I was loonier than a fruitcake but I
really feel that we need a huge variety of merchandise to get any auction
site off the ground.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi All, I have considered going back to that nameless site. I can't get an
answer from support although they have been wonderful through all these
months. I can't get anything posted in my auctions categorie. I am depressed
and dissapointed that they did this upgrade at this time of year. Supposed
to be our best selling time. I love Carnaby but after 4 or 5 emails to
support I still have not gotten any solution. I really want to continue
posting auctions here but I have been out of commision since they did the
new max upgrade. Any suggestions? PLease?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While replying to Grandma's post about re-lists I was thinking about all of
the things I look for on auction sites and hardly ever, ever find on the
smaller sites.

So, I got to thinking what if we started a list of the things we're looking
for or look for. It may not do any good, but then again maybe a seller who
has something we'd like might list it.

Hopefully this doesn't go against any guidelines here at Carnaby.

AND on further note this doesn't necessarily obligate anyone to purchase
anything they may be looking for, but just get the word out about the kind
of things you do like to buy.

Software--good quality software, not the junk, some kids' games, some adult
games; would look for utilities and stuff, too.

Hardware--we need a good seller of quality computer hardware.

DVDs. If I find a seller I can trust I'll buy movies. This is a real weak
spot with us--we have quite a few. We like old movies (by old I mean 1940s+),
weird stuff, science fiction, and family movies. (We don't watch anything
rated R and only occasional pg-13).

Thomas the Tank Engine train pieces--the wooden set.

That's what I can think of for the moment. When I think of more I'll post it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think so, too, Grandma. I have listings up on four different sites right
now, including the nameless site and have bids on only three auctions
(two of which AREN'T on the big site).
As soon as Max is back up and running I'll be getting some new listings
going here and move some of the ones I have here to some other sites. I know
I spent a lot of time last summer trying various things and this was the
method that worked best for me.
Hi JB...
Perhaps, you would care to explain why your cutting and pasting posts from other forums without the OP's knowledge or permission, and why you feel their thoughts are appropriate for this post?
JB, part of that's my post and I am wondering why you chose to copy and paste it here? I have no beef with you whatsoever. In fact I've never mistreated you in any way and would never consider doing so.
What do you think is to be gained by copying other people's messages from one board to another? If I wanted that here at AW I would've posted it myself.
Are you inferring that possibly my reference to the 'nameless' site may mean BV? If so, you're completely wrong. I had in mind sellers I've dealt with in the past on eBay when I said that.
Anyway, if we have a problem going on I'd sure like to know about it, but please e-mail me privately. I believe you have my address.
I'd say, from reading the above and all the other drivel being posted under your ID, that the virus did, in fact, get through ... only not to your PC but to your brain.
You really need some help pal and I'd suggest you get it soon ...
Sorta of a combination of Forest Gump and Gomer Pyle and Grover from Sesame Street actually.
Barncards1: How dare you take my post from Carnaby and post it in here. I registered my credit card just to reply. What you have done is called copy right infringement and I have reported you to Auction Watch and will report you every day until you delete that post. I don't know you and have never done a thing to you. As for your Bidville my post had absolutely nothing at all to do with them. By the way I went to Bidville once looked around, had a good laugh and have never been back. I think you are a very hurtful person to mess with someone else's life. I was having a Murphy's Law week and just needed to vent.You made it a thousand times worse and I am on the war path now. How can you be so insensitive to a person who has done you no harm. Carnaby is the best auction site there is and I love it there. How dare you? How dare you? Any one have any web sites to report copy right infringement please email me @ [email protected].
