Hi,
I have created a new auction site that does not charge listing fees or final value fees. It will only charge a small monthly fee for unlimited postings. I am a one man operation right now and need people to sell items on it. I am willig to give anyone who signs up free listings permamnently. This means you will not pay the monthly fee or any premium services. This will help to build up sellers on the site. Use this code when registering RETR001. If it tries to charge your card email me and I can reset it and refund any charges. I think this can be a viable alternative to EBAY. Please look at the site and let me know what you think.
I want to create a community where sellers actually make money when they sell something. So check it out and post as many items as you want.
Thanks
John Case

If it tries to charge your card most people are very reluctant to give their credit card info to a small, unknown site. There's a major obstacle.

ok, something is not right here. I didnt finish the registration to retrobids.com because I didnt provide my CC number but it still kicked out a confirmation code email to me. I went back to the site and lo and behold when I tried to sign into the site, I was stopped and got the message that my account is disabled.

HUMMMMMMMMMM

Interestingly, I just received another email from retrobids that states I am now verified. I went to log on and received the same error message.

Double hummmmmmmmmmmmmm

He might have used the $49.95 "start your own online auction" software. Gotta be a lot of bugs in that stuff.
The large influx of online auction sites reminds me of the "create a webpage and get rich" gold rush craze of five years ago. Very few who ever ventured into the goldfields in gold rushes ever made money and same thing fits the internet auction thing today.

Just went to check it out. Got to admit, it's easy to navigate,I was able to view every item up for sale in less than a minute!
