After reading all the posts I thought you all might be interested in a new auction site. I have listed a few items and have sold a few. I think the best thing I like about the site is they really want feedback from the members. If there is something you dont like let them know, if there is something youd like to see they will more than likely add it. There are no Fees! No listing Fees, No FVF's! They also have ZERO plans to charge ever for auctions. Pretty cool site, they have many other features of there site like a free 10 page website that requires no HTML knowledge. I figure why not list some items it doesnt cost me anything and the more exposure I can get off the traffic they get the better for me. My user name there is SideWinder, I tried to get that same name here but it had already been taken. Anyway give it a look since its free it cant hurt. http://www.QuicklySell.com

Anyone else here use QuicklySell.com?

Good luck Shinola on QuickySell.com

If an online auction site had a way to get a lot of bidder traffic they would have every other seller on the internet listing there almost overnight.
That's why everyone had their guarded hopes up a little at Auction Cow until it because readily apparent that it was all Bull and no reality that they had a magic way for getting bidder traffic to their new site.

Still, we can all dream about it.

Well that is true I must admit, however the biggest problem I think comes into play is the fact that no one will give other auction sites a chance. We are a grass roots type site that cares about its users. We do everything possible to help our users sell their items. We've invested alot of money into the site, we are listed with PAYPER click search engines, we advertise locally in our area, our best traffic day was over 8000 hits. We know no matter how much we spend on advertising we will never succeed if no one gives us a chance. I use to be a Power Seller on E*** but got tired of all the fees they charge, and most users want to pay with PayPal so then more fees come into play. After 3 years of that we decided that there had to be a change in the way auction sites treat the Sellers and Buyers. QuicklySell.com was started because we believe auction users wanted the ability to have a site that completly listened to its users. A successful website will come based on Administrators listening to the feedback from its members and making Customer support #1. Try getting an email back within one day from most of the BIGGER auction sites, sometimes your lucky to get a response back at all other than the automated one you receive, from your initial email. My personal opinion is that with enough Quality members we can make a success by word of mouth, and buyers those sellers bring. An auction site doesnt have any chance if the sellers do not take care of the people that buy from them. QuicklySell.com will never charge its members any fees, its not about money for us, its about building a community that people like being a part of, and not about what corporation is going to come along and knock the Mom & Pop type sellers out of business. QuicklySell has a different moral opinion about the whole auction scene, and it has nothing to do with greed. Greed is the root of all evil. We know some auction users will laugh at us, and they wont ever list with us, but, we believe if it is free what does it hurt to give a new site a chance with the members being the driving force behind that success. The bigger auction sites had that intention in the beginning, but as most of you know they are moving away from that, and the only goal now has become to make millions. I personally believe that is unfair to ALL auction users, and it does nothing to help free enterprise. We arent asking for anything, all we are asking from auction users is to give us a chance. We will listen to everything our members have to say, good or bad. We need our members, luckily our costs are low enough that this is a breeze. We've been told this will never happen just as you have, but QuicklySell.com is not going anywhere for a long while. As mentioned above the Auctions are a small part of what we do, its the fun part, the rest of what we do is Host Websites, Design Websites, and provide some valuable services for people that do not have alot of money to spend while trying to provide for their families. Its all about family, its all about free! How can it hurt to list with us? You have full complete control of your auction up to the point of receiving a bid, so if your listing with the Bigger sites why not list with us to increase the exposure of items your selling? Wouldnt it be a kick in the pants if some website came out of the blue and captured the attention of auction sellers and buyers based on Free? Thats what we are hoping for. Come on everyone help out those little auction sites, whether it be QuicklySell or the many other sites that are out there trying to provide something different for auction sellers and buyers. Anyway thanks for the response at least I know someone read what I wrote.

How does QuicklySell ever hope to make money if it has a no-fees ever pledge? Even to maintain the site has to cost money. On site advertising is not going to bring in very much revenue these days.
AuctioCow may be full of Bull on their secret marketing plan but at least they claim to be in it for the money and that eventually they will charge listing fees as well as their current FVF fees.

As stated in my previous posts, we are a web hosting, and web design company. We have over 300 clients hosting with us. There are 6 people putting there time in free to help make this site a success. The biggest cost so far has been the auction script, and that is already paid for. All of our expenses are covered, and we are in the plus side of income. Also as stated I personally have no plans or desires to become a millionaire, my personal belief is in a higher power than money. I appreciate what you have to say!

Mark my words QuicklySell.com will always be FREE! I cant promise we will make it, but I can promise that much.

Obviously QuicklySell.com is interested in becoming a solid Auction site with awesome members. We would greatly appreciate getting some viewpoints of members here on auction watch to see where we need to make changes to increase our member database, as well as increasing the number of auctions. For people interested in helping us please answer some basic questions.

1. What auction sites do you frequent the most?

2. What would you like to see in any new auction site to be a place you would consider using?

3. Have you looked at QuicklySell.com?

4. What do you feel we need to add to make it a site you would use?

5. What do you like least about QuicklySell.com?

6. Does the site load fast for you? What is your connection speed? We are on OC48 Dedicated Servers, 2 of them!

7. What Browser do you use? We know Netscape has a few issues with our site, but with 98% of our users using IE we havent changed much in the hopes that Netscape would perfect their browser.

We appreciate any feedback members here would leave, good or bad. We know we cant possibly have a chance of survival in the auction world without listening to our members or potential members. Because our site is a copulation of advanced auction users we really listen to the things everyone has to say. QuicklySell.com is not a corporation, we DO NOT have intentions of luring members in and then charging to keep listing. QuicklySell.com is 100% Free and will remain so! We need all of you to at least give us a shot. For that matter any smaller auction sites deserve a chance at you listing with them, but with no one giving a chance to those sites, it makes it hard to hope for any change with the bigger ones. Come on dont be afraid to say what you feel. If we stink in your opinion, thats fine, just be honest and tell us why.

Thanks in advance to people that take the time to give us some feedback, as well as your trust in our community. Believe it or not we already have alot of great members and we are always looking for more. Take some time to check out our message boards to see the flow of the attitude of the members we have.

Thanks Again!

In my opinion:
E**Y
Has become the site they are because of advertising!

I list with every new site that comes along.

But when I'm talking to people on the street and I tell them that I play the online auction game they say Ohh: E**y.

And I say: Yes them too!

It is a fact that even people who don't own computers know of E**y.

Untill someone advertise's like they do, No new sites will give them a challenge!

I first heard of E**y in Golf Digest!

That was before I had a Computer!!

Thanks! We are working on changing the homepage to make it less linky. Going to revamp a few things. We do this periodically just to change the look of the site to keep it fresh. Hopefully all the new changes should be done in the next few days. We are going to be adding a few new features as well.

You could have made this suggestion on our boards too you know! But where ever you make suggestions we still listen!

We also are not so blind as to know Ebay is king, but they also charge where ever possible, that personally got really old to me, and then when you add PayPal into the cost of things it does add up. I appreciate you listing on the site, your Diecast cars rock!
