We are running a web site that is an alternative to ebay. It utilizes fixed price structures but offers a buyer to make an offer to the seller. Ebay's Rajiv Dutta admits that their new policies are put in place to "reduce clutter" from "marginal sellers". Isn't that what has made them successful? I would love to have some of that clutter on my site.
