You have to register at Bidville to read the thread/link

Let's start a pool when CardTrader gets suspended for not being a BV cheerleader. How dare he voice an opinion that is not rah-rah Bidville!

Oh cmon bidsbids. ebay would never have allowed that thread either. Besides, it has been there since the 25th, probably won't be deleted or locked.

I sure would like to see that thread but the odds of me ever registering over there again are about the same as me joining the MLA. LOL

Even if bidville kicks him off they will only lose 500 nickel and dime common card listings. Most likely this seller is warehousing these items like the others.

You people never change. Are you sleeping together too?

Who cares about the differences between eGay and BV? It's stupid to even discuss these. I guess there isn't anything exciting enough in your lives to occupy your time and you have to continue to try to establish a "meaningful" discussion comparing these two auction sites. Even a baby can see how ridiculous you are.

Discussing the weather is more interesting and perhaps even meaningful. For instance, if someone from the west says its raining, then I might logically infer that the storm might come through where I live before it's over.

I have placed the same item up for sale here and on eBay. Let`s see how many lookers each one gets and the final sale price (and net profits) from each site.

People here like to claim that eBay is dying; however, I predict that the eBay item will get at least 50 looks and 7-12 bids. I predict the same Bidville product will get 5-10 looks and perhaps 1-2 bids.

Let`s wait and see...

Update:

Bidville: The item has gotten 2 looks and no bids

eBay: The item has gotten 18 looks and 2 bids.

Will keep you posted...

We really don`t care. We all know ebay is the power site in the auction world.

MOOBIT Posted 5/29/2002 11:57:40 AM

EBAY EBAY WHO CARES NO ONE CARES ABOUT EBAY ON HERE I LIKE BIDVILLE MAKE MORE MONEY HERE AND NOT PAYING ALL MY MONEY TO THE SITE IT ACUTALLY GOES IN MY POCKET NOT THEIRS

CuFF Posted 5/29/2002 12:29:32 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would think you should have more than two bids considering the cost of selling there.

BidVille doesn`t advertise. BV is a third tier site, and I believe most people don`t expect BV to be in a position to compete with eBay... So, what is the point of your comparison on these boards? Why are you promoting eBay here?

Ebay is the Feebay! Who cares about Ebay? I sure don`t!

HillbillySportsCards Posted 5/29/2002 1:47:08 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There really is "No" comparison. E-Bay is the giant of the auction world. You will however sell this item at E-Bay, but I guess if it doesn`t sell at Bidville. You didn`t have to pay the fee. HillBilly

MOOBIT Posted 5/29/2002 2:05:23 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SEE HOW LONG YOU WILL LAST ON EBAY IF YOU POST THE SAME THREAD ON THEIR CHAT BOARD HMMMMMM SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT ISN`T IT. EBAY DOESN`T ALLOW THE PROMOTING OF OTHER SITES SO WHY SHOULD YOU BE ABLE TO DO IT HERE. IF YOU WANT TO PROMOTE EBAY GO TO EBAY AND PROMOTE YOURSELF THERE.

Hog Heaven Posted 5/29/2002 2:09:10 PM

I am now in hock to eBay for $14.20 on two items I listed, then relisted, and still no sale yet. If I list here and it doesn`t sell, oh, well...I`m not out any money. I hate paying money instead of making money.

OpticArtistry Posted 5/29/2002 2:23:23 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to agree. I avoid that place like the plague anymore!
Their "If it sells the 2nd time, you won`t pay the reinsertion fee" kills me. Kinda bass-ackwards, isn`t it???

JMHO!
Terri

midnightrose Posted 5/29/2002 3:42:11 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i have the same item on ebay as i do here, ebay has been relisted once, the one on bidville relisted several times. number of looks...ebay 96...bidville 5, it`s on 2 watchlists at ebay, none here. so if it never sells what is the difference between the two sites?

I`ve never listed simultaneously, but I hav sold items here the week after they didn`t sell at e***. So it`s not rocket science.

11 bids and 50 visits, looks like you are as wrong about this auction as you are about Bidville.

Why is you imported feedback not working !

I lost money last week on ? (USING INSTEAD OF SITE). I had an auction here first and had a few bidders...sold 1700 cards here in dat 1 auction. I placed it on da `?` and some1 told dem something was wrong here with my auction. Subsequently, I lost many bidders, cuz ? flagged my auction for fraudulent wrongdoing. I had 350 hits and all bids were removed.

Dey found out I wasn`t doing anything wrong but lost $23.25 on the auction. Would like 2 meet my new friend.

Probably da same 1 who sent me "SNOW WHITE" virus and anudder 2day thru "DAEMON MAILER"

TAILS CARD CELLER Posted 5/29/2002 4:22:27 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the difference is you post it here for free unless you feature it and it costs everytime to list there. basically its the same thing, he starts something to stir up trouble, then when someone else voices an opinion, they get talked down to like they were stupid or something. basically he needs to face the facts, i`ve been here since the start and basketball cards have never sold well for me, which is mostly what he sells, so if i`m not selling them with over 600+ ratings then i guess i must be selling something else. one other thing he does not realize is that a lot of sales are indeed seller to seller and i don`t know of too many sellers that would buy from him. o well all done.
check his post in "bidville auctions" to see what i mean about being talked down to.

OpticArtistry Posted 5/29/2002 4:51:08 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To me, the difference if it never sells is I don`t PAY for it not selling here; I do elsewhere.
Since this is a "hobby" and not an income for me, I don`t care how many times I relist something. If I had to pay each time I listed, that would be different entirely.
Don`t get me wrong...I`ve gotten alot of great things "over there", and sold some too. But what I`ve sold here has only cost me verification fees (and if I`ve used a feature)...if I sat and figured it out, I`m sure I`d have lost alot "there".

That`s it for me! Expressed my opinion and moving on...won`t be in this one again!
Terri

I don`t waste my time at EB**. The prices are way to high. Most of the time it`s cheaper to go to the store & buy it brand spankin new. I haven`t been back since they whacked my checking acct. It`s Bidville for me.

Very Naive there Kodi. The poster and thread are disruptive to the serenity of the sleepy little village of BidVille. The mayor of Emerald City, oops I mean Bidville [ Wizard of Oz jab there ], Bryan, will soon cut out the cancerous growth known as CardTrader. It might cost him a happy meal or two at MacDonalds but it has to be done.

The gentle citizenery are mad at eBay because their items do not sell there? Crap at high prices are meant for Bidville silly people.

CardTrader is also battling the simpletons of BV in Home Improvement form in the What`s Bidville`s 5-year plan... thread. ( Stalin? )

He's a goner and too dumb to not see it coming. BV is not a democracy but instead a kingdom where you do not dare rile the king.

Thanks bidsbids
I see NOTHING has changed over there. One lousy post that’s not rah rah rah bidville and you get attacked from every direction.
At this point IMO the best chance of survival for bidville would be to suspend everyone involved in the clique. They always have been a liability to Bidville, no matter what they think they have always caused bidville far more harm than good in the long run.

So, you guys are advocating one point of view and everyone better shut up if they don't agree? That's what you are implying.
I have never seen such a group of @ssholes, always picking fights and crabbing about other people doing the same thing. Hypocrites.

If it gets your panties in a bunch don't read it.

bidsbids, after today I am completely disgusted with you. You have decided I am not worth listening to or speaking to without cuts and jabs, and that is fine.

Someone I know is the Queen of the Hypocrites. That bidsy the bunny banner was dumb anyway. Whatever Dimview saw in it is beyond me.
It is fun watching the occassional rebel try to reform BV. There must be lurkers at BV ( although very few since the mandatory registration requirement ) and when they see the rebel reformer rebuked and suspended it must hurt BV's cause overall. BV seems so much like Communism behind the Iron Curtain. We already saw how brainwashed DreamGirl is to think eBay was the first really successful on-line auction site. She needs de-programming bad.

91 feedback rating with 257 positives and only 2 negative feedbacks ... plus he has done more to change BV for the better than any other BVer ( his thoughts anyway ).

Did WhosNext get abducted by aliens? He should be tearing this guy apart on the message boards ( he is the leader of the masses at BV you know ).
