After reading some posts regarding this site I thought I would try it out. I posted 2 auctions and I got a few views but no buyers, I then thought well I will post another 20 auctions and give it a shot.
On Tue. I received this email from customer service, which has me wondering who is running this company.

Dear Rob Ewasko,
#1
Someone is asking for your password it can not be got from TNA so no need to worry the only thing it is doing is pluging up out mail server.
also Please do NOT post any more items in the BOOK | MOVIES categorie as we are changing them to Just Books & Just Movies
Thank You
TNA
Notice the spelling mistakes and I have never posted books or movies on line.
Has any one had any luck selling on this site.
Thank you

That's pretty scary! Have you tried contacting the site owner to find out what this is all about?

REWASKO...
I sell at TNA and have had some success. Things are just getting started as the site has only been up and running a few months.
I received an email simular to the one you mentioned. It seems "someone" was attempting to get the user passwords from the sellers that are registered at TNA. The guilty party has been tracked down and the attempts have stopped. I was assured that access to our passwords was not possible as when they tried, the info was sent to our registered email address. I also understand BV had a simular problem a couple of weeks ago.
As for the mentioning of the books thing...I think is was just an automatic email to all members asking not to list in those catagories until the new catagory names were updated.
Give TNA a chance...I think it has a lot of potential.

Hi beach ...
With all due respect, I would hope that the person who sent this email is not the owner of the new venue, and that the owner suggest to the writer that s/he should either go back to school to learn the basics ( spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. ), or think about getting a different job.
This is a horrible presentation and if this is typical of the type of communication that can be expected from TNA, I wouldn't give the venue much hope for success.

Now this looks like something JB would do.
Yes I sent the email I did not spell check as I wanted to let everyone know about a small problem...But before I emailed it I called the hostmaster and let them know what was happening. They done a search on the IP and we have taken other precautions and the proper authority's have been contacted.
RB maby if you email me I can get you to proof read for me:} oK

Hi JB ...
Sure, I'd love to be your proofreader ... I think the going rate these days for a proofreader is around $35.00/hour. I can accept cash or international money order only.
Seriously, I do suggest that you make your presentation a little more professional if you want the venue to go anywhere. You are going to be judged by your cover ... first impressions do count.
Most email software includes a spellchecker. As for punctuation and basic grammar, you may want to ask someone (a little closer to you) to help you with this.
I hope I am not sounding too picky, but in a competitive business like the one you have decided to enter, presentation counts
Good luck eh ...

Nobody's perfect. They had the same problem on BV. I wonder why the software allows more than four attempts at one user ID's password? Yahoo allows only four attempts on the Yahoo Wallet password.

Well RB
If TNA could get the likes of all the critiques and YD & Sul From over at the moo we just might make the site go faster. Heck I don't know it all.
I have how ever learned a lot.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Follow up to the email from yesterday.
Dear Members,
Please rest assured that our site is secure. The recent email I sent was done to let you know that some other members have gotten a email from our lost password system. There was never a real threat to the security of your account. Remember, it's always a good idea to change your passwords regularly. If you forget your TNA password, simply: click on lost password link beside the log in and it will send to you ONLY your password.
We are trying to make TNA one of the better sites out here in Auction land.
This is what we think will help. Two times a month we are going to have a
24 hour slumber party. How this will work:
You list your items with a ONE DAY
NO RELIST: with out a reserve.
Time for this to start will be anytime Friday evening or early Saturday. Auctions will all end with in the weekend or in one day-- 24 hours.
I will make it a lot eayser also There will be a Category just for our Slumber Party so your items will be a lot easyer to find. Keep an eye on the Site Announcements link for Time & Date of our very first ( Slumber Party )
Thanks again for being a part of the growing community of Top Notch buyers and sellers!
Don't forget to invite a few friends to join us.
Well uh hell!! LOL!!! This is the way I look at the subject. J.B. might not be the best speller in the world, and TopNotch may not be overly swamped with bidders. But!! compared to the other site that I sold at. J.B. could stick his finger up his @$$ and show more interest towards his site than they did. I would much rather receive a mispelled e-mail response than none at all. I have met J.B. in person, he has been to my house. He is your good ole boy type of person. He has a bit of country flair with a tinge of hillbilliness. Nothing fake, straight up. I like that out of a person. Oh yeah!! I even get a dirty e-mail once in awhile. LOL!!! Great sense of humour!! Now J.B. if TopNotch has a spell checker? Start using the dam thing. LOL!!! Let's all party till we puke. By the way J.B. I will be driving up your way as soon as school starts. See ya'll, Hillbilly
I went to log in today to chat with my new friends at TNA and I was met with this error: "Sorry, we could not find a member called Buzzoon, are you sure it's correct"
Duh, yes, I'm pretty sure
Someone please wake me up when this thing works?
Thanks YourDesign!! I always did get kicked under the table when attending many family gatherings at the Country Club for not putting on the ritz. They still frown whenever I attend a function and bring a paper cup to spit in. I have rubbed elbows with several rich & famous people, only to get grease on their elbows. LOL!!! RB!!! Don't wait a couple of months. The new board is up and running and drives like a new Lexus. Compared to the old board a 1999 Mercury Marquis. Much!! Much!! Faster! I like it. See ya'll, Hillbilly
JB,
I was not asking about a fee-based auction launching service. I was asking if you had a bulk loader on TopNotch. This would also include the capability to import or upload a .csv or .txt file containing multiple listings.
