Auctionpie.com Press Release
Huntingdon - Oct. 21
New Online Auction and Fixed Price selling site, www.auctionpie.com is in talks with a major US bank to create PaypieŠ.
The service would cost a bit more than Paypal currently charges its users, but would offer both Bidders and Sellers Online Fraud protection as well as offer Buyers of Auctionpie.com items a 1% rebate on items purchased on the site.
Owner Jamie Gilcig shared; "As a bidder I was defrauded of over $2000.00 last year on Ebay while paying with Paypal. I have not recieved a dime back or even an apology email from Ebay. Paypal sent me a slew of emails for each payment that I was defrauded explaining that the seller had cleaned out their account."
Gilcig who has since started Auctionpie.com also has felt the sting as a seller. " I organized "nomoreebay.com" last year because of illegal chargebacks on Billpoint. Billpoint changed its policies before we could get our protest website up! They were demanding signature confirmation for chargeback situations without it being part of the user agreement..."

If I remember correctly AuctionCow was also negotiating with a bank for a similar deal. It's probably a common practice to do.
