Dear,

PayPal is constantly working to ensure security by regularly
screening the accounts in our system. We recently reviewed
your account, and we need more information to help us provide
you with secure service. Until we can collect this information,
your access to sensitive account features will be limited. We
apologize for the inconvenience, and we would like to restore
your access as soon as possible.

For more information about the status of your account and for
instructions on how to restore full use of your account,
please log in using the link below:

http://www.paypal-ebay.com

We encourage you to log in and restore full access as soon as
possible. Should access to your account remain limited for an
extended period of time, it may result in further limitations
on the use of your account or may result in eventual account
closure.

I received the same one a few weeks ago and Damon has not gotten back to me on it. Mine did come from the correct paypal e-mail address, but I have not responded to the link. I have not had any trouble logging in through normal channels. Until Damon says to click the link, there is no way I will. In fact, I already deleted the e-mail anyway.

this is the body of message: Dear eBay Member,

Please log into your eBay account using the following link to confirm you are still an active eBay user asap.

http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?SignIn

We are now requesting the password to the e-mail address you signed up to eBay with. This is so our systems can confirm the confirmation e-mails off eBay stay in your account because there has been a rise in the amount of fraudsters getting access to users e-mail addresses and deleting the eBay confirmations. This is to protect you and ourselves. eBay will use this information for fraud protection only.

Please do not edit any details.

This is our new yearly checkup process to screen any inactive accounts.

Thank you for using eBay!

I reported this to ebay and got a boiler plate response! they really seem to care!
