http://www.auction3.com/

Might as well post the URL of the new kid on the block.

At this rate there should be an online auction site for every online auction user soon.

Yes there are many sites out there, but I would be concerned with any that do not provide info related to who owns the site, even a company name, and certainly one that doesn't provide any legitimate contact information.

Even Bidville provides a PO Box.

Sometimes it's about accountability and I certainly wouldn't want to provide my contact info to any company that feels that they need to hide theirs.

Thanks,

Jamie,
Why would one site owner (AuctionPie and your other BayPie one) come on Auctionwatch and attack Auction3?

That's not nice. Plain and simple.

Kodi I'm sure you would know that answer more than I would?

However my post was not an attack. It was very clear to the point.

Even yourself in regards to your site are identified. We know who Kodi is and how to reach her and that she has a very nice site.

No mystery there,huh?

Thanks,

Jamie

Jamie, that was exactly my point in reposting what you had already posted to me. It's all perception, to be attacked, both parties need to participate, one posts with mean intent and the other receives it that way. However on the internet, we can't see facial expressions or body language, so each persons interpretation of a single post can be a tad different. I see you take nearly everything as an attack, when that isn't always neccessarily the case. Sometimes people ask you hard hitting questions and -I think- you take it as though they are calling you a dummy/idiot/etc. You just have to cool off Jamie, things are really getting bad for you everywhere. Everyone has enemies on the interent, including me. Nothing you can say or do will make them change their mind. It's always best to just say ok that is a dead end situation that won't change..and pass that person by.

That'll be $200, shrink Kodi is going to take a nap.LOL

I didn't see it as an attack. Jaime pointed out his concern over the matter of the unusual lack of contact info for the site.

I prtty much loook at almost every new auction that comes along and is posted about here.

So who is Auction3 and why are they not just straightforward about their identity? Makes you wonder what they are hiding. If they aren't up front with people now---what happens when they have your listing /sales problems to deal with or are holding your own personal information? Will they be just as invisible?

I seldom say anything negative about sites because I know how hard is to create them .

I think Jamie is justified in asking a simple question. The question has been out here a few days--with a few others echoing it. I don't see any auction3 rep giving any reply.

Maybe it is really the gegy guy running it!

I think the site is similar to the failed AuctionCow as it is semi-promoted on Mootropolis and seems to be related to that site.
A couple of loyal Mooites are somewhat defending the Moo site by defending the quasi-affiliated auction site without any legitimate contact info.

Some good points.

I do know that on Baypie we have issued an ALERT to all Online Auction users to not use any site that will not furnish some basic contact info, especially if requested.

If a site will not tell you the name of the company or person that owns it. A mailing address of some sort, even a PO Box, and a contact phone number there is something to at the very least be questioned.

I am not suggesting that Mootropolis, A3 or any of their sites are doing anything illegal or nefarious.

I think if they would simply make a public statement on their boards or here about whom they are this would clear up in an instant.

Patty, the moderator of Moo has stated that they own several other websites, but again will not publicly disclose them?

Why?

Also, when I published a post regarding our Meg Whitman Autographed Perfect Store Book Giveaway she pulled the post down and explained that the owners of the site would not allow the book image to be presented.

Who owns mootropolis?

This info isn't even present when you do a whois on them?

Again, this isn't an attack. This company asked me for $125.00 for a banner ad. These are real dollars. They are doing business without any sort of legal presence visable.

BTW Kodi,

Do you now or have you ever had any affiliation or work relationship with Mootropolis or any of its sites other than that of a poster or user of Mootropolis?

Also, is it true that you partake in the secret forums on Mootropolis?

Secret or very exclusive forums at any message site are a very bad idea in my opinion. It hints at favoritism or special priviledge.

Well if somebody pays them for advertising, they would know who owns the site. All I can say is the moo has a great discussion board, and doesnt give in to wacko demands like a special bidville stat forum!

My last post was simply to make Jamie "see the light". Certainly it wasn't an attack, just as my post in the other thread was not an attack.

As for your question about Moo, well just stew on it. For God's sake what a dumb question.
