For example, today there is two Featured Sellers that have been at BV for either about 15 months or 18 months. One has a ( -1 ) feedback rating and the other has a ( 0 ) feedback rating. Only one of the 6 sellers has a BV membership.
Wouldn't BV be better off simply doing away with that program? On or about January 16 I believe that the majority of BV sellers will be hit with a $5 for 6 months bill from BV for verification renewal. Might be a few not pay this time?

Mine expires December 24th, as much as I'd like to still buy there..I won't be since I won't be verified after that. I used to bid on about 100 items a month there too.
You don't have to be verified to buy on Bidville (unless I missed another unannounced change). The verification is only for selling and posting to the boards. The only problem that you might have is that sellers do have the capability of preventing bids on their auctions from unverified members.

Also new unverified BVers can only bid on a certain number of auctions with a certain time frame or have to have a certain feedback rating. ( all good things for BV sellers )

Don't know but the feedback rating required to bid on more than 5 items dropped from at +5 to a +1 a long time ago.
