We will be sending them YOUR product pages by 12:00 AM Pacific time Daily, via an xml feed. Inktomi will then distribute your items to their search partners MSN, Hotbot, About.com, Overture, LookSmart and now Yahoo.com.
Imagine the sheer amounts of customers just waiting to find what you have to sell?
NOTE:
Our " sell " page is not exactly the same as you would find on other auction sites. In our sell page, every time you create a listing , your item title automatically becomes the title of the page.
why?
great for search engines. this is the first place they look for keywords to match a search. it would help your sales efforts a great deal to enter title that included the "exact " word or phrase for your item.
Next on the sell page: " the keyword field ". it is so important that sellers use this field when creating a listing, this field will automatically act as meta tags for your product page. the proper name, and keyword phrase for your item should go here also.
Why?
Helps increase your relevancy. when someone does a search for i.e. "used dell laptops ", your item will score higher than others without this extra info.
Next on the sell page: "Universal product code." this information is also important. In the near future, When your listings begin to appear on shopping comparison sites, this field will be used to provide an exact match to the shopper.
Next on the sell page: " ISBN # " Something book sellers may recognize. It's the identification number for every book. In the near future, When your listings begin to appear on shopping comparison sites, this field will be used to provide an exact match to the shopper.
The above tools give our sellers the control they need to outperform almost any site in the search engines, no longer is AuctionCounter distributing the site as a homepage, it is now distributing the site one relevant page at a time.
...And now for the GOOD STUFF...
We're giving away 25 promotion codes to the first 25 auction sellers who register, with any inventory they want to sell. the more diverse, the better. These 25 sellers will receive a FREE promotion code that will allow them to list 25 items for free at our site. you must be registered by January 31, 2003. When you register just send an email to [email protected] with your [ (user id & this line (w3726) ] and we will deposit the code into your account.
Our feed will be picked up DAILY, it only picks up the items that were created the day before. you MUST create your listings between monday feb 3, 2003 12:01 AM Pacific time and monday feb 3, 2003 11:59 PM Pacific time or sooner during the day, to participate.
Our feed will be picked up daily after the Feb. 3rd 2003

Why is it, when I click on the As Seen On TV category from the Category page (http://www.auctioncounter.com/category.asp), I'm getting a Mature Audiences warning?
Is this a glitch?
Edited to add, I get the same thing for the Bargain Outlet category.
How many listings are currently on your site. I got as far as the end of the Bs and only found 2 auctions.

I just got the Adult Content Warning several more times. Of the categories where I didn't, I only saw a total of 10 listings.

thanks Toollady for bringing that to my attention, i've sent the work order to my developper and he's testing the site to see why these pages have moved. Initially when they were set up, these notices were at a different location. thanks again.
