Well folks, I have come to the conclusion that biville is and always will be a waste of time... I have been posting auctions on bidville off and on for the past 3 years, with 1 sale to show for it....

3 Months ago I decided to give bidville a real chance. So I listed hundreds of items that sell well on Ebay and Yahoo. Still nothing.... I then spent a month and $600.00 in credits and used them for listing upgrades including the front page still nothing.... I then took it a step further I took 50 items That sell well on ebay & Yahoo I then put a buy it now price of $1.00 below my cost on these items and had them relist for a month straight. 1 Sale.. I think if you want to sell knitting patterns or sports cards for a $1.00 then it is a good site. But for me or any serious seller it is a WASTE OF TIME..

I started selling on Bidville when it was Auxpal.
Sales were great sold more in a month then I sold on Yahoo in 2 years.
Then they changed the name, and other things and it went down hill fast.
Haven't listed in a long time and I'm sure I won't any time soon.
I's a shame it really started out as a promising sit!

Hey Online,

You just registered on February 8 to post this?

You aren't related to robertsmithson by any chance, are you?

NO, I have visited this site daily in the past year. I have never posted a message and when it was time to get something off my chest, I thought it might be a good idea to use a different user name. My other user name links me with my auction user names...

If you're leaving Bidville now you're a bigger fool than Robertsmithson. Bidville is getting much needed exposure from Froogle. People who never heard of Bidville before are finding us.

It seems like an odd time to throw in the towel at a site where it costs you nothing to list or sell at. A savvy auctioneer would leave a few take it auctions running just to get the Froogle exposure. Bidville allows you to link to other sites in legitimate auctions. The way I see it, that alone is worth the cost of verification.

Your right. I will be leaving up some auctions. Don't get me wrong I hope bidville is able to make a go of it.. Yahoo is dead and Ebay are the big guys but there is very little profit with them due to the fees....

It just seems a bit odd ONLINE1 that you CC registered on a site to complaint about Bidville. It's fits RSS MO.

Good luck to your future sales...

OK, This smith guys seems to bother you guys. I'M leaving, you will not see me post here again. with the exception of if and when bidville takes off. I will be back to say you were right. How can I see old posts about this smith guy, I want to see why every one likes him so much.....

I only came here to see what others thought of bidville as I do not want to waste any more time if a site is never going to make it. Posting auctions and running my retail store is my business not a hobby. A couple of years ago I used to post messages here using my ebay on line name. Well it took 6 months of not posting messages to get the nimwits from bidding on my auctions. Every time I would post a comment, bidding on my auctions whent up but so did the dead beats....

Shame on you. It took you this long to figure out BV is a waste of time. Other than for a couple of diehard cheerleaders I thing that fact has been established a long time now. Nevermind Canvid he has his own little waste of time in cyber space and is a tad bitter. LOL

Reality - and yet you continue to waste your time reading the site and posting here about what a waste of time it is.

How ironic.

You are ASSuming that I read the BV boards. Reading that gibberish on the BV forums is a bigger waste of time than trying to sell items that cost more than a dollar. So I do nether!

Good grief Jamie what have you been taking. You have'nt been yourself lately.?

My mistake - you must just ASSume what goes on there these days based on what other objective and unbiased posters tell you.

I guess the only time you waste then is constantly checking for new Bidville threads so you can slam your 2 cents in. Of course we all now know that your opinions about BV are worthless since you never 'waste' your time there.

Here is my bidville update. I was wrong regarding bidville sales, since I listed my last message I have had 8 sales. That's the good news, now for the bad news. Of those 8 sales I have had exactly 1 customer pay. The other 7 customers will not even reply to emails... NICE SITE, to bad i'm not selling 5 cent sports cards or 25 cent bundles of yarn....

11 days isn't a very long turnaround time. Maybe you're jumping the gun again.

If Bidville isn't working for you it's possible you just need to brush up on your selling skills.

stonecold613 the bidrate is currently 0.4-0.6% which isnt good. Even froogle doesnt want their 600,000+ fixed priced listings.

That's just utter bs. Let's see the documentation supporting that ridiculous comment. Until you can provide something from Froogle you'll be nothing but a ridiculous comment maker

Not to worry, Bonecollector. BW's fantasized "information" stopped being credible to most folks long ago.

Her agenda is showing, and she must lack the skills to "pin it up".

Here's another possibility. If you can sell on Bidville you could sell snow to an Eskimo.

Why don't we quit picking on these worthless sites and actually post some auctions somewhere?

I know *I* spend entirely too much time reading these boards!
