Do the totals include listings posted in two categories?

I don't think so because on the listing form one of the extras is List your item in another category at 50 cents.

One of the mysterios things about the selling tutorial on ioffer is this statement

Our community of 1 million members means buyers will be looking at your items!

Where does that figure come from? Reverend must know?

auctionace,

I understand there is a charge for a second category.

How did you get the listings amount? Was it by clicking on each category and adding the numbers?

If so, then if any listing is listed in a second category, you wouldn't know and it could very possibly be counted twice.

HI GUYS good point, just a guess i think less than 5,000 in 2 categories. check out alexa.com compare them to other sites they are growing fast..
that .50 for 2 categories is a great deal though, 30 or 60 days and if you use the special right now 2 for 1 on features it really is a value.. 2 categories,60 days, free relist & when you relist you can uncheck the features..

if you feature you are only charged once ever if you list in 2 categories does not double it like ebay..any feature used gives an extra link to your free store in search results..quite good.
they were e-wanted (mostly buyers) for 2 years the reason for the high amount of members & good traffic..purchased by employees.
They just sent out a huge mailer to membership,i have sold items almost everyday for the last week!
NOTE
if you do a few things makes all the difference in sales.
1. type in every listing NOT AN AUCTION USE BUY NOW OR MAKE OFFERS USE OUR STORE FOR THE BEST DEALS ( many buyers are used to auctions)
(only one fvf on bundled items, sellers save fees)

2.always counter back low offers, again buyers think it is an auction, never decline..explain it to them in negotiation box provided.
3.use KEYWORDS IN TITLE AND DESCRIPTION,ALSO IN PROFILE & STORE..ioffer gets you in the search engines. makes a huge difference pulls in new buyers from the net..no keywords=less sales..
thanks for posting this

toollady, I have to assume there isn't a soul that would spring for 50 cents to list an item in two categories but I see what you mean in that a seller could individually list an item in one category and then set up the same listing in another. I was searching for piggy banks on ioffer and saw the same auction listed in several places or several times in the same category. Personally, I never see the value of doing that and if the management would only warn and then bounce a few of these rule violators many the practice would slow or stop.

It's a free store with a shopping cart! You can check the "Price Is Not Negotiable" box on every item. Free image hosting ( one image per offered item ). I find that a great deal. For sellers with repeat buyers this is a deal that is hard to beat.

I just joined IOffer 2 days ago & love it. I already have multiple viewers. You get to let your listings ride 30+ days. Have your tried Mr. Grabber? It transfers your auctions from eBAy, Amazon, & Yahoo as well as transferring your feedback. It's nice not having to look like a new seller. It's great having a store. I put the shopping cart button on my About Me Page and everywhere else I can think of.

More and more sales now. Regular customers from other auctions visting store and buying multiple items to save on shipping costs. Nothing great but still a nice store to send auction winners from E & Y to in those EOA emails.

I've had my BESTEST goodies up on I(don't)Offer for the past 3 months -- stuff that ALWAYS sells for nice buckeroos on feeBay & so far...NOT EVEN A NIBBLE!

Plus, MR GRABBER is ill & I've been waiting for a month for the new de-bugged version...

As usual, auctionace is full of cr**. The figures thrown about are always made up. Simple fact about ioffer is no page views = no sales. When auctionace posts all of his ioffer sales here for the past year and put your money where your mouth is. I posted all of my sales below.

Huge list, NOT.

The new Mr. Grabber was released today. It works fine for me. But so did the old one.

I always wanted an internet store with a shopping cart but didn't want to lay out the money and rent for one. Ioffer gives you one for free ( other than comissions they want earn ). Do any other sites offer such a offer/deal? These guys may force Yahoo Auctions back into free listings again. They have done something unique in the non-ebay auction arena. Time will tell if it works out. Heck, maybe even free quality stores are not enough of an incentive to get listings to a site.

If you have no sales it is your fault and not ioffer's. This same thing has been said by the oldtime sellers at Bidville for almost two years now. These sites are barely making enough to survive yet alone advertise. It is the seller's job to bring in their own customers.
The ioffer site has over 100,000 listings and BV has over 1.1 million listings. Someone is has to be making sales at these sites wether it is a legitimate sale or off-site sale or these sites would simply cease to exist. The sellers that list items at double or triple their similar ebay value will never make a sale anywhere. The savvy sellers will sell their stuff.

P/S .... TV Wrestling is fake!

You're right, they are and must be in supreme physical condition to preform their stunts. But I refuse to admire a person that lets himself get body slammed over and over. That is a very stupid thing to do not an admirable thing to do in my book.

To keep it on an other online auctions topic ---
Isn't ebay totally just totally body slamming the livin' tar out of all the other auctions? What stamina those other auctions must have! What courage!

As opposed to the wide receivers, running and defensive backs who spend three hours playing tacklin dummy for 270 lb men at a dead run?

And I've seen more than a few bad acting jobs as pass interference calls are debated

The wide receivers at least have pads on. How can anyone watch or pay and watch a scripted play where the actors are intentionally trying to maim their fellow professional? The vertebrae of the back can only take so much pounding and by encouraging these displays viewers are aiding in the slow physical destruction of these actors/athletes.

At least with football the outcome isn't preordained ( unless the mob is involved )

I do think that the wrestling programs on the Spanish language stations are hillarious and entertaining ... for about 5 minutes.

If they were intentionally trying to maim they would have a very short career. The object is to entertain and interact athletically while protecting your opponent from actual injury. Pro wrestlers walk away from the game in no worse condition than pro football players whose goal is the same.

Auction - I don't think it is televisions responsibility to parent kids. Parents that allow their children to watch wrestling should make sure that they know that they should not immitate what they are seeing at home. They should explain that these men are highly trained and that if they want to be like them, that's fine, they will get them into classes but do not try to do this at home.

Parents that use the TV as a baby sitter should be held to answer for the consequences, not the television.
