I am sorry that what I am about to say is rumor.

I have heard that eBay most emphatically objects to eBay feedback ratings being used on other sites for commercial purposes.

I do not have a citation for this.
I am not hotcupoftea on Vendio.

It’s your feedback and your items, you should be able to do what you want with them. Can anybody think of one good reason why you shouldn’t be allowed to do this. I can’t think of one. MSN8 has a tool like Mr. Grabber that lets you transfer from AOL to MSN.

Certainly, Ebay can't stop you. But it states that they don't like it.

I worked hard to keep my customers happy to earn my rating. I compromised even when I knew I was right to make the buyer happy. As far as I’m concerned I’ve paid for my rating many times over. Ebay has no right to tell me what I can and can’t do with my reputation. Ebay didn’t help me pack the items, ebay didn’t help me carry the boxes to UPS, when UPS was slow during the anthrax scare ebay didn’t answer my customers emails, where was ebay when I had a non-paying bidder. What ebay did do was provide a venue for me to sell my things and for that they have been paid, and paid well. My rating is my rating, I earned it. Who cares what ebay likes, I don’t like all the fees they’ve added with no increase in services.

You can go through life being afraid of ebays and kowtowing to their threats are you can do something against the grain. ( Go Boston Tea Party! ) Doesn't a tiny ounce of common sense tell anyone that if ebay really minded the Mr. Grabber feedback facet that they would have one of their moron lawyers write a letter or two and try to stop the practice? Ebay doesn't care and Gawd knows that they've lost their butt enough in court lately to try to get some more bad press.

HI some info re Importing feedback

Below are just a few sites that not only import ebay feedback, some charge a fee to do so, they also import auctions.
So If ebay wants a fight Ioffer will have plenty of backup, including the many sellers that use these sites & feel they earned their feedback & it is theirs to use in their business whereever they chose.

1.SellYourItem.com understands and appreciates that you have worked hard at establishing your business and reputation on other Online Auction sites. We feel that your reputation should follow you, no matter where you buy and sell.
If you wish to have your feedback rating from another Online Auction site applied to your SellYourItem.com feedback rating, you may request to do so here.
Also has an auction import tool
2. AUCTIONFIRE
Additionally, all users are encouraged to post public feedback for the other party after every transaction so that buyers and sellers may assess risk factors before doing business with one another. We allow our users to import their feedback rating from other auction websites (verification required).
3.CHRISTIANAUCTION.COM last i checked you could import feedback from ebay for a fee
4.Carnaby used to let you import fb and auctions(now closed)
5.A few years back Yahoo did the import deal for ebay feedback & gave features credit for it too.
I am sure there are others that have done the import for many years.

Ebay is all talk and no walk. And it was them that got sued by the patent holder of the online auction format. Ebay even got sued by AuxPal or BidVille. Ebay does not need more bad press.
