It's a Want ad format, items for sale or wanted. Ads can be placed free till Jan. 2004 and then the fee is very reasonable:

1 ad 4 weeks …$5.00
6 Month Membership …$25.00…Unlimited # of ads
1 Year Membership …$40.00…Unlimited # of ads
Each ad will run a minimum of 4 weeks, unless marked sold or canceled by you.
There will be no charge to browse or buy items on MonkeyAds.com. "
Depending on what you’re selling or looking for this may be a good alternative.
I just started using it and it's working very well for me. I suppose it would depend on the type of item you were buying or selling. It’s another tool anyway.
