Guess I should ask the Vendio staff to change our user name on here
Thanks for the vote of confidence.
I have to admit that we've ran into some challenges (many of them of a technical nature) since the official grand opening of Bidchaser in June. Our staff has stood by our plan and persevered in spite of all the setbacks. I can't thank them enough.
Our efforts are starting to pay off, however, and I am sure that the fruits of our Team's labor will start to become evident in the very near future!
For those who have not yet checked us out - the next few weeks will be the perfect time to come aboard, buckle up and hang on
Best regards,

Vendio won't change an id here but you can start a new account on the same credit card or another card without selecting a Vendio plan.

Interesting...
I'm not registered at bidchaser and wasn't registered at pixietoys, but I just received an email from them.
Can anyone explain how I just got spammed?

We have recently engaged two separate marketing firms to run a test campaign of our "dollar, no reserve" promotion.
We've researched these companies thoroughly, and have been guaranteed that all members of the list come from what's known as a "double opt-in" mailing list. We only market to people who have selected to participate in these programs at one time or another.
It is possible that some of the emails may have gone out without the appropriate markings, and for those I will take full responsibility. It is also possible that some people may have received more than one message, since we have engaged two separate companies to manage the mailings.
We gain nothing from being placed on ORDB, Spamcop and other blocking engines. Our staff is currently reviewing the results of these campaigns, and making sure that the creative content of the emails clearly show the source of the messages, specifically, the source of the recipient's opt in.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

That's pure BS.
First, I don't opt in to ANY lists.
Second, there was no indication in the email stating I had opted in to receive offers from third parties. And there was no way of opting out of future mailings.
Third, the email was sent DIRECTLY from bidchaser's servers, which means bidchaser bought a spam list. There was no information on the source of my supposed "opt-in".
Wanna try a different spin?

I bet he either had carnaby's old user database or he harvested emails from ebay. One or the other, or maybe both. If neither, what is the name of the double opt-in list??

I can also think of another place the emails could have been harvested from, but I'll reserve decision until I speak to a few more people.

There were 9 items listed on BidChaser two days ago and now there are about 235,000 items.
Looks like BidChaser is going to be a player.

I'm just stating facts. An online auction site with 235,000 instant listings is a player.
Personally, I can not see why any seller would take a lot of time to load auctions to any online auction site that didn't have a favorable track record. Some sellers rush off to every new site.
If any site could ever get a decent sell through rate via advertising they would rapidly become a huge site as everyone's secondary selling site to ebay. There is no clear-cut second choice to ebay at present.
The field for second place to ebay is wide open and BidChaser has a fair shot at the spot.

Why not go straight to J&R and purchase it right from them.
Looks like a big old affiliate marketing site thrown together by a carnaby reject complete with a dose of spam to boot. AuctionDunce??? You think this is a recipe for a winner. Go sell your 2 dollar trinkets there, and stop giving people advice.
Leo, you are desperate, throw in the towel. You used to be a two time loser (Carnaby, pixietoys), now your a two time loser and a low life spammer.

Both carnaby and pixietoys shut down under less than honorable circumstances. You said you couldn't be blamed for carnaby, you were only the lowly CTO, well what about pixietoys, I guess that wasn't your fault either. Who are you going to blame the spam on. I think we've all heard enough of your drivel.

I'm not tooting their horn. In fact I even stated ...
Personally, I can not see why any seller would take a lot of time to load auctions to any online auction site that didn't have a favorable track record. Some sellers rush off to every new site.
Until a site can come up with a secret marketing plan [AuctionCow] that even gets off the ground I say watch and monitor the major players and see how they fare.
One of these days someone is going to happen upon a successful combination of advertising and management that will actually get some bidders to visit and buy at a site.
We can all dream can't we.

Hey auctionloser. You can't have it both ways.
There were 9 items listed on BidChaser two days ago and now there are about 235,000 items. Looks like BidChaser is going to be a player.
I'm just stating facts. An online auction site with 235,000 instant listings is a player.
What a moronic statement. You can't have 235,000 worthless commons sports cards and recipe auctions listed with nothing of quality listed, and call any site an instant player. This is a "recipe" for disaster. Want proof? Check out Carnaby, or how about bidville.
Anyone that bothers to listen to your stupid jottings, will never become a real player in the online auction business.

Go Leo!
You have the irregulars all up in arms. Why? Because you are preceived as a true threat to wherever they list. The tiny auction sites that are just holes-in-the-wall represent no threat to them, Bidville with it's new traveling circus show that will ruin the quaint harmless site of Bidville represent no threat to them .. it's sites like BidChaser and Ioffer that threaten the status quo of their favored small sites.
Folks, isn't this funner that playing Lt. Colombo as to who is is who at the 'New BV'?

I'm kind of impressed with their CS already.
I had never even heard of that site until tonight when I read this thread. Went over there, signed, up and jumped right into the bulk-listing process.
I ran into a slight snafu (more of an inconvenience than a bug) and posted a message on their forum. Someone answered right away the solution to the problem. They are actually going to modify the auction posting process tomorrow morning due to my suggestion. That's quick service!
I have no idea if I'll sell anything or not on the site, but I'm definitely going to be listing there for a while to give it a fair test. I really liked the speedy answer from someone who can actually FIX a problem!

The process of bulk listing is uploading a tab delimited text file - no software download required.
