A link to an interesting survey was included as part of the latest edition of the Collectors Newsletter #205. It was emailed to 261,000 readers, so it should produce a good sample. You can view the newsletter online at:

It's a proposal for an online antiques and collectibles auction "event" that would take place over a 5 day period, possibly later this year.
