Hi everybody, I've been playing around with Ioffer for a while, but this is the first an offer came through.
Now, pointers please (no snide remarks). The buyer offered below $1, do I counter offer? There's a FREE value charge for items under $5, and the total would be below $5 with shipping. Or should I just accept the offer and be glad it's my first one?

This is my first offer and I'm going to counter offer, as long as the total price stays below $4.99, I don't pay a listing fee. It's a book, and frankly, it's priced low, but I'm going to take advantage and see.

why ask here?
you have it all mixed up you need to read & learn a bit..
1st there are NO LISTINGS FEES AT IOFFER PERIOD anywhere at ioffer.
if you list an item at IOFFERLITE clicked box on the listing form..for an item 4.99 or less...
then for feb & march there are NO FINAL SALE FEES..it is free
but you must have listed it checking that box..
the Low iofferlite final fees starting in april are only 4%
hope this clarified it..
there is an easy link right on the form..counter..for whatever you like to your buyers.(if at iofferlite up to 4.99)
you need to read a bit on the site, buy a few items, read back at help chat,,at the iofferlite boards..takes a few minutes but makes it easier when you know what to do when you get sales..so many new power sellers coming over and boycott people from ebay..most getting sales very quickly now the site is snowballing.
when i counter, takes just a second,,i tell them buy this and this for this much and i will combine shipping or whatever..WHEEL & DEAL have fun..
if the person does not accept my counter,,no prob the next person looking can read it and see i how much i will take..and offer accordingly..

Wow! Why the negativity. I can feel your vibe. I'm new at Ioffer, I saw the Community, I posted in the Community, I got an answer and I counter offered.
No Fees for anything under $5. It might work or it might not, but it's a new site and alternative to $$$EBAY.

Okay, I remember. I haven't been here like I used to, I joined some Ebay Seller groups and been hanging over there.

I just put some of my stuff on ioffer 3 days ago and today was surprised to see I got an offer at just a couple dollars less than what I was asking.
I accepted it and hopefully the buyer pays.
I really like the changes they have made since I was last there about a year ago.
I printed an invoice and packing slip instantly.

Gina good luck.
Let us know how it turns out. I just put a bunch of stuff up there, and glad to see traffic (even though they may be cost comparing).
Maybe somebody can answer this. I went to Bidville, Bid chaser and auction.com and as I was scrolling down & around, noticed 0 bids for the items.
Just curious. Is the online auction biz dead?
But then I went to Bid4Assets, and they seem to get a LOT of action, of course, it's a high-end "serious" auction site.
