I haven't seen Bidville listings on any of the tracking sites , like Auctionwatch, etc.
Does anyone know of any auction search engines that include Bidville listings?

BidVille is not yet on search engines, etc as it is just barely 90 days old. Customer service says it is in the works.

I hope all these sellers who are so against BidVille remember they are and stay away. I don't want to see the whining, self-centered, report everything, "I don't like the way you are selling, what you are selling, etc" sellers there. They ruined Yahoo and are welcome to the great site it has become. If they are not mature enough to disregard the troubles of selling on line, give it up! We don't live in a perfect world and there IS NO perfect auction site.

BidVille is working very well for me. I enjoy the site. It's a lot like Yahoo in the good old days before all the whiney eBayer's found something new to try and control beings eBay wouldn't give in to their demands.

We won't know until a couple years down the road what it will or will not become. At least BidVille will admit when it is wrong or has made a mistake. I will list and sell there until it is no longer profitable to do so. At this point I am quite satisfied with my sales.

What sort of items are you selling there? Are there lots of listings in your categories or are you benefitting from being one of the few? Also, are your buyers old customers you've had before?

I've been referring my buyers to Bidville, but having trouble getting enough time to list there as well as on ebay, half, Amazon, etc. I am toying with the idea of going with a "first bid wins" strategy and double listing on Bidville and half.com. That way if I did sell on BV, I would get a notice right away and be able to delete my listing on half. But the downside would be that I"d have to have higher opening bids, and one thing that turns me off the site right now are items priced too high.

hmm

I wish AW would add Bidville to the search engines. I have looked at all the other auction sites all have mentioned, even listed on one or two, and gotten frustrated.
Bidville is like Yahoo of old, with ease of listings and smooooooth way it all works.
I can look at their front page and see how the listings are rising daily, on the other sites I see nothing in listings like this site is showing.
But then I'm not getting a ton of bids or hits either, so I think it's up to all that would like to see it move, to get the word out. Get the word out, not just this message board but all boards you can.
I have added my bidville auctions to my web site just to try and get things moving...
I would like to see them go big time of course.

keziak - I sell a variety of items. Crafts, clothing no longer needed, this, that and the next thing. Cards (sports, pokemon, beanie) etc, used books. I don't sell for large $$$$ amounts.

I did email my repeat customers and let them know where I had moved my stuff too (especially my craft buyers) however, I have yet to have any of them buy anything from me. I know they bought and/or sold something as they used me as their referral.

I am averaging about 5 auctions with bids on them at a time. Not a big deal to some of you but I would go for a week on Yahoo with nothing. Most of my sales there were first bid wins stuff.

I have had 15 transactions completed from start to finish with 100% pay!!!!

I list my cards and books with a "take-it" price. I sold 19 in one day. It's a slow process as many buyers don't even know about BidVille but I am willing to build up my stock and wait. I started on Yahoo when it was slower than slow and it paid off in the end - until Yahoo decided to listen to all the whining and implement rules which did nothing to solve the problems but did create more problems.

I agree with a lot of your thoughts/points and it's hard to know exactly where to list anymore. I am really hoping that once BidVille gets on the search engines, etc it will be a more rounded auction site similar to Yahoo. Good luck where ever you land.

gem10a1 it must be hard going through life being so negative. Over and over again we hear the same thing from you. "free sites stink, pay sites rule" Well Keep in mind I pay a 10% final value fee to sell on Beckett so I can speak from both sides when I say that I am not going to pay to list items on a site for them to just be a museum. Nor will I put my money into the pockets of the Nazis at Ebay and Yahoo. Beckett offers me a legit chance at making money and they assume the "risk " with me and show me confidence bynot charging until I make money. Bidville is a great site. I have a $500 bid on one of my items. If this is the trend, I would GLADLY cut Bidville 10%!

Hi, I sell under the same ID as here. I like you don't sell alot of High $ stuff in auction as a rule. On Yahoo I had about 100 of the near 600 listed starting at over $10. Fact is I sold 10 times more $5 then I did $100 cards. That is why I get upset with people who think listing fees are a good idea. I don't want a free ride. But I don't feel I need to pay for the privlege of listing if nobody is buying. Or at least, a 1 time fee until it sells. Yahell did not listen.

I've been listing on Bidville since they had less than 100,000 listings,Now they are aproching 300,000 I'm not breaking any record's but the hit's are increasing and so are the sale's.Have made more sale's on Bidville than I would have on Yahoo in the same time frame.I've seen it mentioned on these threads before but I have seen no responce from AW as to they're intention's.I personally think it's time to replace Yahoo with Bidville, and put Yahoo in the (Other Auction) section. I wish AW would shed some light on this subject!!

forshoppin - Thanks, I agree, Bidville is working just fine for me I have had better results there in the last 3 weeks that I have had on Yahoo in the last 3 months. The best thing about BidVille is that I have had 20 winning auctions and everyone has paid me so far. That is something I could only dream about on YAHOO!. Thanks Again for your words.
