Wow! I just listed an item on bidville with a take it price of a little more than what it usaully goes for on feebay. It close as soon as I listed it! Were talkin within 5 minutes of being listed! Is this an anomaly or had anyone else got this response? I guess I will list a few more items there. I do intebd on trying to drag some of my buyers there also.

That's great news! I got so excited last night when I sold two items (out of 200+) for the first time on Bidville. I started listing about two weeks ago and didn't expect much of anything for another month or more (I tend to be a very patient and persistent person). Almost all my items are showing 1-5+ views with two or three on watch lists! There is activity with buyers and people checking out the categories there. I advertise this great site whenever it is appropriate and have had a few referrals use me when they signed up!
We're all new there, my buyers had zero feedback and I have zero as well, so buyers and sellers come to the same table to work out some great business relationships, think of the possibilities! I am aware bad things can happen, but will deal with that if and when it comes, right now Bidville is putting a smilie on my face!

I just had two items close instantly (One more than it sold on Ebay the last time I sold it) - This one particular item, I've sold several times on Bidville.
I'm not planning to give up Ebay, that is where I sell most of my items. However, I do plan on using Bidville more and more, I'm pretty impressed with it so far. I think I might even have a feedback of 16 there so far...
Did you by chance forget U.S. Coins > Dollars in your tabulation?
I counted 35 bids on 69 closed auctions yesterday, which translates to a 50% sell-through rate.
Over at that wannabe Yahoo!Auctions, you cannot search closed auctions by category, so I just took a look at Morgan Dollars and Peace Dollars, the two largest sub-categories, and found 17 and six closed auctions, respectively, for yesterday. A total of 23.
They have 141 and 42 live auctions, respectively, too, so assuming they are evenly distributed by day, they had around 180 coins in those sub-categories yesterday.
And 23 bids on 180 closed auctions is a sell-through rate of 13%.

17 sales overall? Interesting stats, but I just counted my own sales, and I've actually made 30 sales so far, and this is in just a few weeks. I also have several items that are closing in the next week that have bids.
Also, I've received payment so far on most things I've sold. I'm selling collectibles - stamps, coins & cards.

Not a problem. I am still not suggesting this site is a substitute for Ebay - It's not. It's a nice supplement that has surprised me because I've done better than I had expected to. I find it a place to list items that I have many of, and they can sit for a while if necessary, or for really inexpensive items that might sell but are just not worth listing on a site that charges, or at least charges a listing fee.

Well I have 3 lots out of 20 bid on. No complaints because I only have one "premium" item listed with a high pricetag and it has had 2 bids. I am happy with Bidville and as soon as some health issues clear up, I will be listing on lowestbids and epier.
