"...a need for another site specializing in online auctions like eBay, but with a user-friendly interface for buyers and sellers."
User-friendly?...Have you been to the tech board lately?...they are so busy launching new contests that the bugs just pile up...
"Currently, one year later, BidBay is second to eBay worldwide. (Source: Top 9.com.)"
There's a footnote to this...they didn't specify what ranking measurement was used...according to top9, BidBay is second in unique visitors...I think the truest measurement of an auction site is the total value of the GMS (Gross Merchandise Sales)...this is the value of all goods transacted on the site...for example, eBay did over 1.6 billion in GMS last quarter...Bidbay? 1.6 billion in Bidbay bucks?
"Currently, over 4 million users enjoy using BidBay.com with its 1 million plus items listed for auction by many sellers."
A retort from Auctiongallery2:
One users auctions: 567,179 items. Now can that user even prove they have all of those in stock?
Which represents 36% of the total items on BidBay.
Recipe auctions:
294,367 in the $1.00 under cat.
347,783 in the bidbay buck cat.
Total recipe auctions: 642,150
Not to mention all of the recipes in the general sub category of these two categories.
These recipe auctios equal 41% of the total items being auctioned off on BidBay.
Just these that I have mentioned total 1,209,329 of the items you are so proud of at BidBay.
That's 77% of the items claimed on the front page.
That is not mentioning the 2 cent and 5 cent and of course dime cards listed by the bloated feedback powersellers there. You know the ones with only a 2% unique user percentage.
