Are there any auction sites out there who charge final value fees instead of listing fees?

I have looked and I can find free sites, and sites that charge both, but have any of you found a site that just charges you if you sell something....and that has sellers who are actually selling their items?

Gosh, maybe I am asking for the impossible, but if any of you know of such a site, please direct me to it.

edeal only charges an FVF, but I don't know how much is selling.

I went through a few of the antiques and collectibles categories and didn't find a single item with a bid. However, they do have a "fixed price" option so maybe they're just not showing.

Yes, edeal only charges Final Value Fee. It is sometimes hard to tell how sales are, they have fixed rate and classifieds that close when they get a bid, so you don't see those sales. I have times I have a lot of bids and now when I don't have a one. But with no listing fee, I can be more patient.

There are many sites that don't charge listing fees:

Bidville
DutchBid.com
Edeal.com
BidBay

To name a few.

Thanks all!

I have listed items at Bidville, but no one even looks at my items there. I have a Sellers Channel over at Dutchbid, and I do get some page veiws from time to time, but alas, no bids.

Sometimes I think it is the sellers that find these places and not the bidders. I mean, sellers actively look for other places to sell, but bidders just go straight to Ebay or Yahoo, and they don't even seem to know about these other places.

Who knows?? Oh well, since it doesn't cost anything to list, it doesn't hurt to just be patient and hope for the bids!

What kind of things do you sell? Do you sell a lot when you are on eBay, Yahoo, or any large sites? If you don't sell there, you won't sell anywhere else either!

I happen to sell on consignment, so have items ranging from the small collectable, to computer items, to clothing, to auto parts, etc. I have listed on Yahoo, eBay, ePier, and edeal. I sell most on eBay - stands to reason - but I have had items that didn't sell on eBay that I list then on edeal and it sells there with more exposure time. Most of the time I mirror types, if I have three pottery items on eBay, I list three pottery items on edeal.

Ebay Ebay Ebay

Ebay charges both listing and final value fees, however your item gets viewed by millions, and gets numerous bids as well.

The fees you pay are very minimal in comparison to the exposure your items receive and the price your items will return. Free sites are useless. Bidbay, epier, bidville, pootah, popula, tbay, and the rest of the circus sites serve only as a waste of time. There is no traffic, nor will there ever be, nobody sees your items, nobody bids on your items. There is little to no variety. There is absoltely no demand anymore for an ebay alternative, therefore eliminating any need for these struggling wannabe sites. Ebay may give us plenty of reasons to dislike them, but there is only one thing they give us that matters. RESULTS!!

Cheer cheer away, but facts will remain facts. The person to person online auction market has peaked. Perhaps something will change a few years from now and someone will pioneer a new e-commerce phenomenon, but you can rest assured it wont be an online auction, and no way will it be any of these squabbling auction flunkee sites. Good luck with all of your ebay transactions.

I sell woodcrafts items. I do very well in my opinion on ebay. On Yahoo I don't do as well, but I do sell. I have never minded the fees at Ebay. I pay them and never think about it.

I guess these are the only 2 sites that have ever really worked for me. I guess I just wish I could do as well at one of these other sites, which I guess I should realize by now that..I can't..not because I would leave Ebay,(that would not happen!)but just because I want to sell somewhere as well.

Oh well, maybe I am just a little depressed this week! It has been a long one.
