Hi!

If you write to Mike at [email protected] he is most helpful. I have never waited more than 1 hour for a response from him. I too had problems getting auction tamer to work with my hotmail account. Auction tamer would lock up every time I would try to send an e-mail. I was able to resolve the problem by by using the SMTP option and setting up a Yahoo e-mail account. I then set the Yahoo e-mail preferences to forward all my mail to my CompuServe e-mail account (which is the one I prefer to use. Kinda confusing, but it works. Good luck and I hope you get it straightened out. This is a super program and the support is beyond words!

Yes, Mike is trying to help me with this. He is really trying very hard with no success. I even tried paying Microsoft for phone support ($35) on this. So far, they have had to escalate the problem to someone else. It doesnt make sense. If hotmail works with Outlook Express, then so should auction tamer! I think it is something in Auctiontamer that is causing the problem.

There are a few reasons why I would prefer to use hotmail. I get all my work email through Yahoo. Another thing is that Yahoo's emailbox is very limited in size and it ends up filling up too quickly, when Hotmail is extremely large ( I could be wrong) I dont think they limit the amount of messages or the size of messages. Not only that, seems to be more versitile. I could use Hotmail exclusively for my auctions with no worries!
I hope someone can find a solution to this.
thanks again for trying to help.

Until recently, (when I got tired of Hotmail being down), I used Hotmail with Outlook Express and it worked perfectly with AuctionTamer. I switched back to Outlook when I went back to my ISP email address, but I've never had a problem using AT with either email address or program.

Under View, Preferences, (in AT) on the Seller Set-Up & Email tab, do you have the first radio button selected?

Also, do you have Hotmail in Outlook Express set up as your default emai account?

You've probably covered those bases already, but it's all I can think of for now.
