I was looking at a users feedback on Bidbay. She has 3727 positives with no negs, which, IMO, is impossible, however I know Bidbay takes off negs at the receivers request. The question is out of 3727 positives, they are from only 68 unique users. Say what??????

Just one more little thing Bidbay does different. You could have 1000 feedback from one user without ever doing a transaction for cash money!!!! I've been waiting for the day I'd feel confortable listing there but I don't think that day is ever going to come...I like what I see at Bidville but I haven't listed there yet, just watching for now.

Having 3,000 fb's without a negative isn't impossible, especially when it's from only 68 unique users. Having 3,000 fb without a negative isn't impossible when there are 3,000 bidders either. Maybe good customer service/good descriptions work. The only negatives I have on the other bay are retaliatory and a mistaken identity. Other than that, I wouldn't have any at all.
I'm not saying their feedback is a good way to do things, but it's not impossible to never have a negative. Some folks on ebay don't have any with very high feedbacks.

This is one my continuing gripes about BidBay!
And honestly, I do think it nearly impossible to have 3000 + and no -.
I have 4 negative and they are all retalitory. Uncompleted transactions, because the buyers changed their minds. I always leave - for bidders that do not complete. If a seller were to have that many + and no -, then I would say they don't give out negative. Which IMO, is a terrible thing to do, because you aren't warning other sellers.

mtnmama I have to disagree. In the REAL auction world, you will get retalatory feedbacks, which I have done, which is exactly why I quit leaving negs for deadbeats...I"ve bought from persons who have thousands of positives and will have a neg or two, it just happens, which still does not explain my original question.
edited to add: How can you get a neg for mistaken identity? Ebay does not allow you to leave feedback if you haven't had a transaction.....

you used to be able to leave negative feedback for any reason, so "mistaken identify" would have worked for the first couple of years. My only neg. is for "being rude in a chat room!"
Interesting contest (with no prize, sad to say): find the ebay'er with the highest zero-negative feedback. It will be interesting to see the results. While "good customer service/descriptions" is a great way to minimize negatives, statistically you're likely to get bit after awhile.

I agree completely. That's why, as a buyer, when I find a seller with an extremely large number of positives and 0 negs, I have to think something is fishy...because I know as a seller that you can't please everyone all of the time...no matter what you do.
