Another 2,000,000 users from a gaming site? LOL! I wonder if their 2 mil users okay their info be sold? Take a look at their privacy policy below: (site name removed for protection of the users)

"We do not sell individual customer names or
other private profile information to third parties and have no intention of doing so in the future. Occasionally, (name) will hire a third party to act on our behalf for projects such as market research surveys and contest entry processing and will provide information to these third parties specifically for use in connection with these projects. The information we provide to such third parties is protected by a confidentiality agreement and is to be used solely for completing the specific project."

Guess they messed up when they sold their users out to BidBay. Or are we talking affiliate site here? There's a difference.

Which brings to that fact that for every member that registers with BB from the "click" site they "bought", BB pays them $1.
LOL! This is buying 5 million users? Wonder how many opted out?

The CEO himself has finally admitted it is all about numbers. Now it is "Bidbay will rock". What happened to "Bidbay Rocks"??
Hey tell me why a company has to BUY members? Do all auction sites do this?

I can't be sure of the buying members, but if the act itself violates the other company's TOS then they both have a problem.

Either the company that sold their membership violated their own TOS or someone isn't telling the truth. The only way this could happen without a violation of the TOS is by becoming an affiliate and anyone with a website can do that! I'm an affiliate of Amazon.com and was one with an Hawaiian linen site for a long time. It's not hard to place a link to their site on your page and vice verse. Then you sit back and with every click and purchase, you get $$.

What's more Interesting Is the fact that; no money was probably ever exchanged here, only an on par value of some kind traded, for buying the names, perhaps exchanged for stocks, which Biddybay is declaring as a debt, or as a cash value loss, a clear I.R.S. violation, since the start-up costs time frame for this new bussiness, has already passed, as for members privacy Issues, see the other thread, maybe the FTC and FCC will be visiting very soon.

But who am I, I never used to work for the I.R.S., I only follow their laws.

As far as numbers go; they can put 100 Million members on their front page, the same 600 there now, will still be all thats there though, wonder how come Investors never look.

Anyone know how Auction Universe ties in here with Biddybay, or Greg Manning Auctions ?????????

crychek, your are now a troll, no I am not, you are to, no I am not............................lol

My sweet troll, my sweet troll -- or is that my sweet love? LOL! I can never remember that Beatles song.

600 members and going weakly! But remember, they "rock" just like crawling out from under one. Or is it they "will start rocking?" Does that mean they will erupt like a volcano? They change their tune so often.

Auction Universe, if I remember correctly, is a has-been dotcom. Where did you read about that?

BTW, my website used to be on all those search engines as well. All for FREE! LOL! Like it's a big deal or something. Wow! Someone actually had to fill out all those forms online to get them on a search engine.

I wrote the company in question with regard to their stated privacy policy, with a link to the announcement thread, for their spin on this matter.

Greg Manning? He was the owner of AU way back when. They're not in existence anymore.

edited to add:

Just plugged gregmanningauctions.com into the location bar and came up with a Network Solutions website under construction. Said this domain is registered with Network Solutions. It seems to be a German site, or at least with the German language.

Went to Network Solutions and found they are listed in New Jersey as of March 21, 2001.

So, ya think they're merging with Biddybay?

crychek you are too much!!!!
"crychek, your are now a troll, no I am not, you are to, no I am not............................lol"

too too much. I wish I WERE you as you are wittier than I.
Auction Universe.....how funny. It was AU that first got me involved in online auctions. I was listening to the Dr. Laura Radio Show, as I do everyday, and she was tied in with that site for a charity for children. So I went in and started buying. Then I started selling. I bought something from someone who told me they also sold on ebay. I had never even HEARD of ebay! I had only had a computer a month or so. So I checked out ebay, got hooked by bargains and bidders and the rest my friends is ....HISTORY!!
Wasn't Auction Diner due to re open April 1st? Was that 2001 or 2003?????

Oops, well actually I didn't want to sound like Biddybay's religious zealot.

Thanks for the heads up. I think the anesthesia has something to do with memory loss for a while.

Here is the FTC's online complaint form.

https://rn.ftc.gov/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

I'll see where it is or If I can find It again, in all that dribble, were several others listed.

A gaming site???

As in games to play or an auction site buying/selling games??

Which one is it.

I am somewhat confused here.

Thanks

crychek,

From what I can see, Gregg Manning Auctions or Gregg Manning isn't a shareholder, but rather named in the SB-2 filing as a competitor.

I believe it's a play sports game site. You can easily check by going to the website itself. acsports.com
